IGN Doesnt Think MGS4 Ranks In The Top 100 Modern Games, Do You?

i was reading the complete ign list of top 100 games this generation and obviously there were some things i did and didnt agree with. Not seeing crysis 2, Mortal Kombat, or LA Noire make the list certainly drove me nuts. But the biggest surprise was, well, you guys read the title. IGN DIDNT THINK MGS4 BELONGS ONALIST OF TOP 100 MODERN GAMES. Mind you, it being from many years ago wouldnt have meant it didnt qualify, since Half Life 2 Episode 2, Oblivion, and some other games from the beginning of this generation made the list.

The fact alone that Angry Birds qualified for the top 100 games list and not MGS4 was nothing less than jaw dropping to me...do you guys seriously agree with IGN? Is MGS4 really not good enough to count as one of the best games of this generation

I personally don't approve of them for the s***** DNF review, and putting Angry Birds over Crysis.

The game scored a 10 of course it deserved to be in the top 100.

What's more upsetting is the top ten. It's a f***ing joke. I don't expect much from IGN, but the top ten is pathetic.

Nah I dont see why it should be on there. Its great but not a masterpiece like MGS3 and MGS1

Maybe if you mind to read how they made the list you would see this: "A lot of rad franchises have multiple rad games, but we boiled those down to one installment to represent the series and let you see the most games possible. Similarly, if a game had an awesome expansion but it didn't redefine the experience, we just pushed the DLC into the consideration of the game itself."

I stopped reading when they mentioned Bad Company 2. The only thing BC2 has over BF2 is better hit detection. Besides that it's a downgrade in every way besides visuals and audio.

Disagree second best MGS to me with MGS1 being number one of course. The werid thing is its the end of a saga just for that it deserves to be put up there.

The list honestly seemed more like a "Here's 100 Modern Games We Recommend, Not In Any Order" than a Top 100 Modern Games list.

I've always found top-whatever video game lists (in any capacity) to be painfully inaccurate.

Maybe it's just because I've been gaming my whole life, but I've never found myself agreeing with any "professionally-made" video game lists.

You start to wonder after a while if their collective ignorance really IS deliberate.

people hate on this game coz it gets more praise than other games, I dun know about u, it was quite frankly the best game I played in a long time, really gave me the generation jump feel.

Its one of the best games on the PS3, sometimes they do the dumbest things.

Well thats just crap. MGS4 imo is the second best MGS with 1 being number 1.

Should be 100th at least.

It's stupid, MGS4 is at least better than 90 games on that list.

Way to many arcade games on that list.
