IGN Doesnt Think MGS4 Ranks In The Top 100 Modern Games, Do You?

I liked MGS4 but PeaceWalker is more deserving especially if its only one game per series.

Its a game that a lot of people didnt get to experience or couldnt get into because of the control limitations on the PSP. Im glad its coming to consoles so more folks will get to play it.

IGN does alot of stupid stuff (so does Gamespot too), I just go there for game news and that's about it.

That game was huge and had so much to do in it.There were other areas that you didn't even need to go to, they were just in it to make the game bigger and flesh out its world. Something that was stripped from MGS4

Actually no. Unfortunately, they didnt embrace exploration like MGS3 so a lot of people didnt know that there were other areas in some of the levels.

MGS4 ranks in my top 10 most hated games, sure I've played much worse but not one that had such production value, such hype to it, and in many ways it's even more absurd like everyone is drinking the Kool-Aid with their love of it, it wasn't even a game, like two-thirds cutscene to one-third gameplay.lamprey263

I wouldn't put MGS4 on my top 500, never mind top 100. Played it for a while and forced myself through the game just to find something that justified the scores it got, but in the end I couldn't. Hated the controls. Hated the graphics (yuck) Overall a very unsatisfying experience.racing1750

Do I? Yes...yes I do. IGN has really dropped the ball on this one, and I'm very disappointed. MGS4 was an epic masterpiece, and what do they put ahead of it? Peace Walker and Cutrope. PEACE WALKER. AND. CUTROPE. WHY IGN....WHY!?!?

uh, yes. yes of course it does. I'd put it somewhere in the top 50 current gen games.

what's funny is that IGN themselves gave MGS4 a 10 and still didn't put it on their list :P

MGS4 was crap. Besides, if you paid attention to the article, they were only putting one game from each franchise on the list, and they chose Peace Walker.

The game scored a 10 out of 10 on gamespot and ign, how can it not be in the top 100.

I don't really like MGS4 that much and I think it's a tad overrated, but the top 100? yeah it should definitely have been there.

I think MGS4 has better controls than the other games, but they are still clunkier than other TPSs out there.

MASS EFFECT 2 GOT NUMBER 1? Oh hell no. That game certainly does not deserve #1. RDR was not that great either. New Vegas > FO3.

Never played it, hate the series. My brother is a long time fan said it was very overrated though. Seems just by graphics alone it should be in there, but IGN needs controversy.
