inFAMOUS 2 Hype thread (56k) 7.5 @ GS - KEEP IT HERE!

im starting to wonder if this is GS way of keeping the balance in games lol....i mean a downgrade from the first? didnt it get 85 percent somewhere else?...idk just seems off. but here comes the damage control i guess

And this is the same guy that gave inFamous 1 a 9.0, so don't even start with the "biased" crap.

I am kinda surprised, though. I expected at least an 8.5.

haha epic failure. I never like the 1st one, it's so boring...I still finished it for trophy hunttho, but infamous is always being overrated. I dont know how they give the 1st one 9.0.

The game reuses so many of the same enviroments once you play Act I you basically played through the eviorments of the rest of the game..

I read what he said,but it doesint hide the fact its still inconsistent on his part. Since he says infamous 1 choices basicly didint feel black and white. When most if not all were.

From reading the review, it seemed like in Tom's view, it was a case of one step forward, two steps back.

Although one could argue that as the generation progresses and there are more games out reviews will get harder. But that doesn't seem to affect the FPS genre.

i am actually surprised by the score.

having only played the demo, and having platinum'd infamous 1. seriously it was the only game i played that month of June, absolutely loved it.

i'm still very excited for inFamous 2, and this doesn't change my opinion or dissuade me at all. very much looking forward to it.

Just in response to the complaint of the black and white karma system, does anyone else prefer that? I never thought the inFamous karma system was an attempt to analyse your own morality and plug it into the game. To me it was a question of you wanted to be a douche for the whole game or be a hero.

If, for example, I wanted to be evil and pick all the evil karma choices, ambiguity would kind of ruin that if I accidently picked the good karma choice. This actually happened in the first game with that one slightly amibiguous bit and it annoyed the hell out of me.

The example McShea gave with Cole still getting good karma when he killed all the hostages was ridiculous though.

except infamous 2 adds a TON of awesome powers, and the game is faster paced and flows much better. better graphics and visuals as well soo...

I think I'm going to stop paying attention to reviews all together.

black ops gets AAA, infamous 2 gets a 7.5. :(
