inFAMOUS 2 Hype thread (56k) 7.5 @ GS - KEEP IT HERE!

Wow those are some rather disappointing review scores.:? Especially seeing as this looks miles better than the first one.:?

Played the demo and wasn't impressed though I will say it seem to move faster. It seemed kind of easy though and still seems repetitive and lifeless city.

I think the critics are out of their minds really. gameplay wise, it's MUCH better and has a lot more gameplay options, and the graphics and visuals are leaps and bounds ahead of the original. there were quite a few framerate dips in the demo, but I expect those to be gone in the final game.

For reference the scores of Infamous 1 and 2 for sites that have reviewed both so far and are on MC:

C&V: Infamous 1 - 85; Infamous 2 - 90

Meristation: Infamous 1 - 85; Infamous 2 - 90

IGN US: Infamous 1 - 92; Infamous 2 - 90 (but IGN is on a .5 scale now)

Game Informer: Infamous 1 - 90; Infamous 2 - 88

Multiplayer.it: Infamous 1 - 90; Infamous 2 - 88

Eurogamer: Infamous 1 - 70; Infamous 2 - 80

GamePro: Infamous 1 -90; Infamous 2 - 70

That's 3 sites/mags that rated 2 higher than 1, and 4 sites that rated 1 higher than 2.

I don't really care for Metacritic, but since it was in the topic title, I'd figure I'd compile a list because I have nothing else to do :P.

This game is a system seller imo. If I didn't have a PS3, I would get one just to play this.

Gamepro gave Infamous a 9.0 ........ they gave Infamous 2 a 7.0. wtf? I really don't understand how sequels get lower rating when they are much better games. Just from playing the demo, Infamous 2 seems much much more polished in every area maybe expect melee cause the camera sucks. Nonstop-Madness

I wish I new about the Limited Edition before a week ago. I would've preordered it because I want that Slingbackpack replica and the Figurine.

I preordered the EU Special edition but I'm thinking of switching to standard because of the crappy NA box.

Dude, there is hardcore manipulation with polls on SW for years, and it's been YEARS like this. That is why the TC removed the polls. The only way to have accurate HYPE is to :

1. Ask users to post their HYPE in their POST
2. Count posts individually (counting without the OP is useless though).

I would change your thread if I were you.:P

AA was the OFFICIAL HYPE(AA WON the POLL by the time the game came out,60 votes for AA, 39 votes for AAA) in this thread and the other InFAMOUS 2 HYPE THREAD, the game scored A sadly, so it's a flop.

I still don't find it to be "amazing" or even really good to be honest, it's average and it's tolerable to say the least. The second one seems like a decent improvement as to what I'd call a game being "very good" and nearing "great".:)

Reason people were hyping AAA on Gamespot was probably because of 9gn.com review lol. Batman:Arkham City is next, lets see if the floppage of sequels continues.
