I'll say what I said in the other thread.
360 controller is now perfect except for that price! What's with the MS milkage lately? Is the 360 truly on its last legs?
Cloud567kar
Pretty sure it's been selling better than the wii and ps3 past couple months.
wow who knew a price drop and a redesign could do wonders. only in the us at that. the console is still getting outsold worldwide

Allow me to contribute: I've personally found the buttons on the 360 controller a bit stiff in the past.

[QUOTE="chaplainDMK"]10$ more then the DS3, and it still weighs more, has that wierd battery thingey underneath and doesen't have motion controll capabilites... M$ sure is ripping people off... Cloud567kar
Lol it weighs more, oh noes. And why would you need motion control capabilities when you don't need a controller for kinect?
I'm not saying its better, I'm saying that Sony can do all that and still sell their controller cheaperlol, its a little late now lol. They shouldve did it with the new slim consoles. Makes more sense :Pnavyguy21Why would they do that when they count on you spending an EXTRA $65 more bucks!!?! man gotta love MS this year, they's unfire's
it raises upI thought 'cool a new D-pad', but it's still round so it won't be that much of an improvement.

it gets destroyed in Japan. Microsoft did not even tout its european region numbers (because it did not lightanything on fire over there either) You only see them talk about the US because thats the only place it actually did well. (It sold 70k in UK at launch week and that was about it) (Uk is only about 30% of the european market) Go figure
LOL at Microsoft.
MS guy 1: hmmm our D-Pad sucks, should we fix it?
MS guy 2: nah, no point.
MS guy 1: We can release the controller as a special edition and charge 2x as much.
MS guy 2: do it! ASAP!

Sure, it's been raised up but why still the round part ?
Who is gonna replace their current controllers with this one ? I personally fail to see the advantage.

im sure you will see this controller bundled into the consoles and also available without a charge and play kit.

yeah and Japan covers the gap in North America right, last month NPD data had 220,000 more 360's sold than PS3, but Japan makes up that number in the month right?

? Wireless controllers cost like $50 by themselves. And the play and charge cost $20 to $30. Your getting a deal.
I really like it, I'm sure its not being bundled with consoles because could you imagine how many Xbox 360 control pads there are in retail channels? More than double the amount of 360's I would imagine, thats a whole lot of stock to clear.CuteCakes
in time it will bundled and will be available without the charge kit.

also not to mention that the charge and play kit of the controllers now are 64.99 as well, so its a new model for same price.

wat were the numbers like pre-slim launch? they were like 20k gaps beyween the consoles. Ps3 in japan makes up that difference in a week. The ps3 leads in worldwide european numbers thats why you dont Microsoft touting their European numbers because they are dead last in that region. Just look at the sales chart pre-slim launch in europe.

Ps3 sells about 25k in Japan and in EU it sells probably no more than 30k. So that's only 70k, pretty sure last few months 360 has sold like 200k more.

or you can get the better looking, better controller, and all of that for a system that has more people playing on line with xbox. You can have your 10 bucks and that garbage controller, ill take the 10 and spend it on the best controller on the market now as its only flaw is GONE.
the D-pad is still bad, they need to split up the directional buttons, all in one piece is still bad. Even the PSP has a better D-pad.SiKh22
Sony might have a patent on that.

How can someone call this a deal. Look at the bolded red. I still dont get how anyone can defend this company for its shoddy overpriced accesories. i can get a 8 battery eneloop charger kit for 20 bucks. And that comes with 8 batteries.

lol we shall see. The ps3 has outsold the xbox360 in the European Regions todate and it wil continue to do so with the launch of GT5 around the corner.
DS3 has more features such as motion control and pressure sensitive face buttons and still is cheaper...so no $60 for a controller is laughable! So now that the d-pad is fixed, can we all agree that the 360 has the best controller in the world?

I still disagree. i dount the d-pad is as good as the playstations. its similar to that of the dreamcast and i hated the dreamcast d-pad. they should just separate the directional buttons

I'd like to where you can buy that because in Canada it costs $50 for 4 batteries and a recharger. So the play and charge kit is still cheaper.

My favorite d-pad remains the one off of a PS1 era MadCatz controller. Had enough depth and was loose enough to feel similar to an analog-stick but better.

i think it does the ps3 has beeen selling well over thereThe grey buttons are ****ing stupid (especially since the A and Y buttons both look like the same shade), but the d-pad is pretty damn cool and a welcome improvement. Overpriced though; play-and-charge is nice, but not nearly as nice as the Li-ion (Or black magic? That thing holds a charge forever) battery+nice, simple mini-USB in the DS3.
I disagree. This is still the best controller:
R4gn4r0k
Best controller of the time undoubtedly, but a lot of that is nostalgia. The controller is/was tiny by today's standards and the d-pad doesn't have enough depth compared to some of those that have come after it.
