Razer better launch their Onza before Nov 2nd otherwise they might not get as many sales as they would have with this launching around the saem time.

the onza looks horrible and cheap, what is that writing on the controller. now this controller is sleek and hot looking

The old S controllers had just as "bad" a D pad as the 360 controllerAnjunaddict
no it didn't, the controller S on the original xbox had a far better dpad.
On topic Too little too late.
1.they should have done this years ago.
2.Its not included with all future xbox 360's.
3.Its wireless only, why not wired controllers?
4.A mechanical lowering, raising dpad means **** if the internals dont work, the major problem with the 360 controller dpad wasn't its dpad surface but the internals of said dpad, and how many electronic registers on the main board, as well as how the internals of the dpad works and how they didn't touch the electronic registers correctly.
5.64.99? what? come on even with a play and charge kit thats just getting silly.
All together too little too late, we will have to see what they've done internally to the controller not what they've done to the preception that some how making a cross or a disc somehow makes it work better. Something tells me its gonna come out it uses the same old internals. If it does then to hell with that you have the exact same problems as you did before.
the new 360 games pad look alright but i truly believe the new razer controller will be better and have a better dpad. dpads HAS to have separate buttons in order for it to be precise. also i think the only reason mirsoft is releasing this new gamepad is because they are afraid that every1 will start buying the new razer 360 pad and not because they care as they claimed. if they ever cared they would have released a better controller 5 years ago when every1 was crying that the dpad was crap.

Agreed mos definitely, which is what Im saying. Its bearable for the 360 controller and fighting games but its just kind of uncomfortable to use which is why it makes more sense just to use the joystick, which aint all that hot to begin with on 360. Still, that razor looks sick when it comes to the dpad. Other than its positioning, but there is nothing that can be done about that. Any news on how much that'll cost/ release date?
[QUOTE="HaloReachGOTY"]now it is the perfect controller and cows can no longer bash it for it. :)siLVURcrossCourse they can, the price, the fact that you know, it's not comfortable? its not comfortable? what are you talking about? the 360 controller is an ergonomic wonder compared to the ergonomic nightmare that is the dual shock, you know this, many others know this, many people have hightlighted it, its even talked about in articles by gaming publications online. the price maybe, but comfort? yeah sorry no you cannot bash the 360 controller for comfort concerns.
[QUOTE="gamesinmotion"]Where I live its only 5 dollars more. At retail the dual shock 3 is 54.99, 64.99 thats a difference of 10 dollars, just wanted to put that out there.I can't believe they're charging $65 for this. That's $25 more than a Dual Shock controller.

$65!? Oh man that's hilarious! Hike the price of Live Gold and come out with $65 controllers... will the fleecing ever stop?

Why MS doesn't bundle this with the new Xboxes or allow people to buy it as a standalone controller is baffling.
But then again, MS seems to be adept at making ass-backward decisions these days...
All they said was there poping it out, they never said they actualy went into it and made it better, which is the problem, not the fact that it dosent pop out. Wait for reviews and impressions when it comes out. Poping it out dosent mean its any more responsive or better.
Also, why the **** is it chrome silver when theyre console is black now?
So the only way to get it is to fork over $65 bundle? Microsoft is getting worst with their prices. :?
WAY too late. Also, I don't like the gray buttons, or the fact that it's only available with the play and charge kit for $64.99 :x

Yeah, it is just absurd they don't allow people to buy it alone. Guess I'll get that razr Onza.
Though I have to say, I do love the aesthetics of this all gray controller. But I see at the bottom of the OP, a gif showing this... don't know exactly what to call it, these "guards" around the d-pad which seem to elevate and retract. What's the deal with that?
um, not even close, it still looks like a sucky d pad, the best dpads were the sega genesis sega saturn and playstation dpad (ps1-ps3)

Um, I don't know this? Mainly because I don't find it comfortable.
Good to see they finally did something right this week. :)
I personally never really had a problem with the old D pad, but I know people who play fighters do, so it's good to see MS is at least listening in some regards.
Why didn't they just remove the disc all together? They could have just made a precision cross with 4 different buttons under it.
I'd rather spend $40 on the Razer Onza controller.. Which I will :D [QUOTE="ProjectNatalFan"]the onza looks horrible and cheap, what is that writing on the controller. now this controller is sleek and hot lookingArbiterisl33t69Wtf? And you'd know because you actually touched the d-pad, right?

"The controller will only be available with the new Play & Charge Kit that will launch on November 9thfor US$64.99."
Enjoy the price-gouging Lems.
The MRSP for a wireless controller is $49.99 and the Play and Charge Kit is $19.99. I'm still getting the Razer Onza first though.Which changes my post's accuracy how? Every controller Sony sells comes with a Li-On rechargeable battery included, no expensive additional purchase necessary. They're also user-replaceable. That is bad enough with respect to Microsoft. Now they're raising the effective cost of entry to buy a controller (period) by $15.
If you can't see that you're being gouged between all of the over-priced accessories I just don't know what to tell you.
I mean this even goes for things as basic as HDDs..proprietary HDDs, what decade exactly are we supposed to be in, the 80s?
It's $10 more than Sony's... ... and $10 better.I'd rather spend $40 on the Razer Onza controller.. Here's a Joystiq hands-on with the controller (they haven't played a game with yet, but are going to do so on the show-floor of PAX later).
Good stuff. They said everything about this controller is definitely an upgrade, even the Play and Charge kit. Here's a Joystiq hands-on with the controller (they haven't played a game with yet, but are going to do so on the show-floor of PAX later).

Really? I found it to be comfortable. Still, it's about damn time they perfected the 360 controller! :DI still depise the analog placement.

Its a freakin battery pack sticking out of the controller. The DS3 has a .25" thick battery inside the controller. Now thats innovation. Besides, this is a revision. They could have spent a little more time revising it.

So what, it doesn't effect your grip. The reason its like that is so you can easily switch battery packs if needed. Please Log In to post.
