Nintendo the King! The King of rehashraskullibur
A "rehash" i can deal with. Lots of promising title i could probably get one for my birthday if possible...apparently there's Tales of the Abyss that will come out on 3DS...but who am i kidding Namco will probably keep it for Japan!
I'm getting one no matter what the price is :D .. I cannot miss on all the awesome 1st party games and the plethora of 3rd party games .. I tried to see if I can get into gaming on cell phones (Android, iPhone, etc) but I cannot stand it :P ..
If you want a good experience with gaming on handheld, you gotta have a DS or PSP (although I prefer a DS) 8)
Hey if it's going to have an awesome library of games similar to the DS then I'm in. PSP hasn't done much for me.
Japanese gaming doesn't need to be saved.I think 3DS will save japanese gaming industry, so I'm quite hyped about it

How are they "changing the gaming world" by giving us a release date? Titles and specs are pretty much known oO Don't get me wrong, it's a day 1 purchase for me, but it's weird how Nintendo fanboys treat it like the second comming oO
It's a $299.99+ DSi with tacked on 3D screen and PSP specs. And it seems it'll retain the DS's out of date non-muti-touch, non-capacitive touch screen, and the DSi's abysmal camera. What a rip-off. Not to mention no second analog stick. Good luck using the stylus to control the virtual analog stick. The touchscreen is not designed for finger touching like the iPhone. runbleduck
if the 3ds is that... i wonder what the ps3,wii or xbox360 are..
If it's not under $200, (which I doubt it will be) I have no interest in it.
I still haven't bought a DSi, mainly because it's price was too high for what it offered. My DS Lite worked fine, and I really didn't feel like I needed some crappy cameras to improve my experience.
The 3DS is just a beefed-up DS... :(
Gue1
The Super Nintendo is just a beefed-up NES.
The PS2 is just a beefed-up PSone.
The PS3 is just a beefed-up PS2.
The 360 is just a beefed-up XBOX.
The Wii is just a motion-controlled Gamecube.
sweet. That's a new paper mario pic. hmmm. That's probably the game I want the most but then there's zelda and star fox. Lotsa Great games 8)
I'm buying. Sub-$300 would be nice, but i'd still get it regardless (probably :P ).
lundy86_4
I'd pay 350 for the system and one game :P haha. It's just too awesome 8)
Not sure if you are Serious but I you want be able to see it in Pictures you have to actually hold the system to see the 3D.not impressed with the 3D in those pictures. can't see it at all

I didn't get into the DS craze (I use my GF's every so often), but i'm getting on board with this bad boy. Third-Party games alone will set this handheld apart, and Nintendo franchises just sweeten the deal :P
Awesome it is, awesome it is.
"graphical effects the Wii cannot do." .....like? proof? link?Bread_or_DecideShaders. Watch the Resident Evil trailer.
lots of ports. bad on the psp. good on the 3ds? right. Bread_or_Decide
There are a lot of original games. And at least the 3DS offers something new with those ports, unlike the PSP which made them worse with a single analogue stick (3DS has one, touch screen works as the other).
lots of ports. bad on the psp. good on the 3ds? right. Bread_or_DecideNot the same, remake (3DS) or downgrade (PSP). Try Modnation Racers and LittlebigPlanet.
"graphical effects the Wii cannot do." .....like? proof? link?Bread_or_DecideUm... 3D?
"graphical effects the Wii cannot do.""Capcom has shown a series of screenshots off with various effects turned on and off to show just what the 3DS is capable of. Things like HDR, Self Shadowing, Normal Maps and Depth of Field are on show and it's funny that the Wii is unable to do some of these things."

It needs saving pretty badlyCare to explain? It's been shrinking for the last few years andc most big companies are doing pretty badly nowadays. Those games don't sell enough, while they cost insane money. 3DS will help that, because making games for it will be pretty cheap compared to PS3/360[QUOTE="AdrianWerner"]

Folks like you make me sad beyond belief. Its a remake of a handheld bro, not gonna change anything major.
Whiteblade999
Like most people are saying.. its just a DS with 3D.
Of course theres somegood games coming out for it that are not Nintendo even...
But with every console or handheld release, there always has to be something decent to present.
Nintendo products are always overhyped and underpeforming to the technology of today.
In my opinion, 3D is a fad which will run out shortly when the next piece of 'wow' tech comes out.
What really will change gaming world...?
Like the Half Life 3 Engine for example... Thats right. You heard.
That's why I didn't like it when Nintendo decided to keep the name 3DS. People are going to think that it's just another DS with 3D. Most surveys around the time had the most popular answer as "I already have a DS, I don't need another one in 3D." Well I guess people will learn when they see a seperate 3DS section in stores.Nintendo pulled a Sony with this one. I'm not sure if it will fail or not. Nintendo is not going after the casuals so I can see some problems in terms of marketing. The general public is going to think it is just another DS. Which might not be a bad thing.

I don't think Nintendo has to worry about casuals. :P 3D is enough to attract the casuals. A new Brain Age has practically been confirmed, Nintendogs + Cats will probably be launch game, Animal Crossing will be somewhere around there, and Mario Kart has been announced. Add a Mario game within the first two years (probably next holiday), and you have a casual dream system. Don't forget they are allowing movies as well. The problem will be the price, and it will be interesting to see what Nintendo does there
lol handheld gaming. Heil68Handheld gaming is nothing to scoff at. Maybe you don't enjoy it, but some of the best games of this generation have been on handhelds. And DS continues to outsell EVERYTHING. If you don't have a DS (or a PSP, for that matter) you are missing out on a lot of fantastic games this generation.

Most surveys around the time had the most popular answer as "I already have a DS, I don't need another one in 3D." Well I guess people will learn when they see a seperate 3DS section in stores. I think that Nintendo is going to put out drastically different boxes for 3DS games. They need to differentiate them for the average consumer, so I think that should be enough. Also, I expect a complete marketing blitz next spring so I think word will get out that this is the next handheld.[QUOTE="15strong"]

I'll never buy another handheld.
