Epic win if I may say so.

I don't know what this accent is. Can you tell me where this is from within the UK?

I'm not too sure, I live in a county called Essex, infamous for loud cockney accents. I've lived in essex all my life, so I'm not too informed on British accents, as all I am familiar with is my own accent. It's definitely not northern, that's all I can tell you :)

(glitchspot wont let me quote the link)

Cockney?

Like apples and pears cockney?!

Yup, to give you an idea, an Essex accent sounds much like the chants and songs in a typical English soccer/football match. Like a typical drunken hooligan :)

This link will give you an idea: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=w2qi47A2Zf0

That's why I like the feminine french accent a lot more.

Honestly it sounds pretty cool when a guy says it.

But women? I don't know.....

Why, do you even feel a little put off by women using your own accent?

[QUOTE="skrat_01"]Haha I remember the German exchange student when I was in year 11...

The hawt European exchange student stereotype, built up by movies - was realised.

"Ya, Shnitzel ist sehr gut" has never sounded so good lol.

FrozenLiquid

Haha.

What year are you in now? 12?

Yup you guessed correctly.

Probably the worst year for anybody to be doing final exams / folios.

Actually it IS the worst time. Ive had to post-pone buying Bioshock, and cutting down my gaming time + going out drastically, because of final folio works due in under two weeks time.

Graaah.

Ah well at the end of November it'll be all good.

Which reminds me of the second problem. Why does the god damn Muse concert have to be during the middle of end of year exams? WHYYYY??!?!? :x

Ha I dropped out final year which was this year. During the mid years to be more exact. Already got my University entrance so I was all set anyway.

But for some reason everyone's pretty chilled out about the exams coming up. How about over there? Is everyone stressed or something?

Oh yeah, and what University you going to next year, if you so choose to go?

Well, the accent is more on the masculine side (as the video shows) so it's not very attractive coming from a womens mouth :).

Ah damn lucky already having you Uni entrance set! Had a few mates who dropped out last year, but have picked up apprenticeships.

Well im my case its not the exams im worried about, but my Vis Com, and Art prac folios + finals that are due soon, as they are a major part of my enter score + getting into a uni. Ive had a great track record so far, but ive got s*** loads of work to do... Hell im working on VCD right now.

Ive got other friends who are doing sciences ect. and are much more stressed about exams, though right now there all mellow, as midyears have past.

As for Uni's - probably RMIT (here in Melbourne) - for either Industrial Design, Visual Communication, Product Design, Multimedia Design, or.......... Game / Game Graphic Design lol. Yea im pretty into design lawl.

I live in the south east of England, Bristol is in the far wwest. I have been there only once, it's a good place. it's on the coast. It is an interesting city, with more than it's fair share of historical significance. I visited Bristol whilst I was staying in Bath.

Thanks for the info! Think I'll transfer there in a year or two to finish my University studies. Other candidates are Manchester, Birmingham or London.

Bristol interests me because the type of music that is closest to my heart originated from there. Trip-Hop ftw!

Pretty limited entry.

I have to have a folio prepared - to meet the requirements, then go for an interview, and then for some sit a 'practical test'.

And the competition is pretty tough - considering for e.g. the Games Design course - 600 odd apply, and bout 60 get in. Yup gotta duke it out until the end. A reaaal b**ch of a process lol.

What rumoured course were you going to into, through your granted entrance?

edit* i'll have to get back to you tommorow, getting freaking late lol :P

Well, bands or artists such as Massive Attack, Tricky, Portishead, Kruder & Dorfmeister, Thievery Corporation, and to a lesser extent Boards of Canada, and heck..even Tosca (lol) are Trip-Hop. Some of the music of Bjork (avatar) falls in the cathegory as well. Hope you've heard about at least one or two of the mentioned artists or bands :P

And yes, Manchester is a very musical city which is one of the reasons to why it indeed is a candidate. Being a Chelsea and Spurs fan, however, I'm not too fond of Manchester United :P

Yep, you've grasped the basic concept. That's the way it is in Essex, although the girls are incredibly easy, so that kind of makes up for the various shortcomings

[QUOTE="gingerdivid"]Ah, well Manchester is basically the heart of English music. The beatles, Oasis and many more, all made a name for themselves in Manchester. Although I am not sure how big trip-hop is there, in fact I have never heard of it :P gingerdivid

I'm an Arsenal supporter, I guess that means we can't talk no more.

Arsenal FTW! Fabregas should have won young player of the year last season.

looks awsome, but I'm not investing the kinda cash in my pc this game requires to be fully realised, and I actually prefer contorl pads to keyboards (not the mouse though) which means I'll most likley not play this, sutch a shame as i love FPS games.

It does look good, but I think a lot of people are hyping this game just for the graphics, when really, the gameplay is good too
