Killzone 2 - An end to damage control!

Look, it's really quite simple:

• Killzone 2 is a really good game, up there with the Halos and Gears of Wars
• Killzone 2 scored a 9 on gamespot and similarly high scores elsewhere.
• Killzone 2 is the best looking console game at the moment. No, it does not look better than Crysis
• Killzone 2 will probably not stay the best looking console game
• Killzone 2 does not do a lot new, but it perfects a lot of tried and tested gameplay elements, creating something unique in the process
• Whether Killzone 2 is better than Halo 3 is simply a matter of opinion
• Killzone 2 is great fun and, if the huge amount of posts are anything to go by, will be talked about for many months if not years to come.
• Killzone 2 was a lot better than people expected

And that really is all there is to it!

This is probably going to end like the "KZ2 Epic Fail" thread. I mean I counted at least 2 new fanboy accts for that thread.

Actually, Killzone 2 was a lot worse than people expected. The way that cows hyped the game, you would think it something revolutionary like Halo CE. You play it and... "Wow, a nice standard shooter." It is a good shooter, but nothing more than that especially with the lack of co-op campagin and split-screen multiplayer. In my books any shooter that doesn't support at least 2 player splitscreen should be rated at a max of 8.0.

It really is a great game in my opinion.

Because the month MGSIV came out, PS3 sales actually doubled, it got a 10 on Gamespot, AAA on Gamerankings, and had great sales. All of that equaled following back on simply calling it over rated. :P

I think many lems also expected it to do well, hence the constant hate towards it. Though, it must also be said that while it's a great game in its own right, it surely didn't live up the the lofty expectations for me. It was just too hyped, and as a forum poster, that hype engulfed me, which is sad, because without all that hype, I probably would've liked it a lot more than I did. Same thing happened with Halo 3 for me, personally. The hype ruined it.

whos in damage control ? its a great game AAA score, nothing out of this world like 9.5 or 10 , graphics are top notch I dont see the big deal .Sonic_on_crack

I don't think the people are citing its a flop due to quality. It's not the best game in the world but it's a great game.

I think it's flopping in sales and that's what's raising the issue.

I think it's a great game. I just didn't care for it.

Evidently yes.Cows seem to feel the need to spend every waking hour teling everybody how great this game is,instead of,y'know, actually playing the damned thing.

I think certain cows are dissapointed that KZ2 didn't set the videogaming world alight like good ol' Sony told them them it would.
