Everything. multiplayer, online, creativity, fun is all here in this game. I can't think of a game more appealing as family friendly and user friendly game as well. Fanboys don't flame, im just giving my honest opinion here. To everyone else: what are your thoughts?Haku_Ryushi
I think it looks like a pretty decent game but if becoming a little overrated, its a platformer with a ton of customizability which is really only going to appeal to a small group of gamers. I think a lot of people who are hyping this game will play it for a couple of weeks and then put it on their shelf and never touch it again...
Well hopefully it doesn't FLOP like spore. On the topic of spore. Wow, have people forgotten how much it was hyped? There seems to be little backlash for spore's floppage. munu9
I think if it came out a year ago, it would have scored higher even for the same game, I remebere being so damn hyped for it back then, but by the time it came out, I didn't really care, and when I tried it I was really bored with it, so I wonder if thats the after effect of hype, luckily I'm still very hyped for Little Big Planet, so I don't think it will happen the same way.
Yeah its true. It will be a great game. Sony need this game. But we have seen creative games before this one. Maybe I shoud get ps3 for this game.FunkyOrange
You should indeed. Very worth it. Pickin it up on day 1.
I have to agree, LBP is very innovative and looks fun :P it scores high on all chapters in my book :D also i think it'll move many systems and be a very cool holiday gift :D Al3x_n90
Saved for intense future ownage.

Customizabilty? I don't think your getting the big picture. Where talking about creating a level and character from scratch.
It's nothing new. Games with editors have been around since 3D Construction Kit on late crash computers.Tony-Harrison
Nice try, you make topics for every single little Wii title that comes out, but are jealous when your missing out on a superior title.
In fact, I bet almost all the money in the world, you would have already had a big LBP hype topic by now had it been on the Wii. ;)

Right. You came to the topic for this? You might as well not say anything as it could backfire on you...

Which has been done before.I'm really looking forward to it, I don't think I will make many levels but it will be fun to have a few friends over and put one together, even better; co-op level building with someone across the country. Anyways playing other people's content will be pretty cool.
I'll be pretty shocked if this doesn't get AAA, and I hope all consolites feel the same way because if this takes off we might see more modding type games.

Create a character and and a level from scratch in Halo 3? I never knew that. I thought you could only edit the levels.

Not quite the same, a better example would be like Garry's Mod, which is like Halo 3's features x 1000000, but in LBP's case, its just easier to jump into and edit and create entire levels with friends off one screen.

I really cant wai for it.
I think it will be one of those games that are more fun with friends, offline or online. Or both.
I have it preordered. And I wont read any reviews before I play it. So that I am not more hyped/less hyped than I should be for the game.

I don't think it will get AAA, it will be something like:
The Bad: Too much fun, I don't have enough friends to play it properly, too much variety.

Since when has a console platformer had one and since when has it been this focused on creation? It's not like its just tacked on at the end, its a major feature in the game.

Every opinion is a honest opinion to the one giving the opinion. Unless they're lieing.
But multiplayer can be ferocious at times. Sentances that involved words like "squatter or screen whatter" Whatever they mean, i dont remember i was a little hazy at the time. And creative works of art get people upset quick when they use images such as hated people or doings.
I agree and disagree.
Yup, LBP looks INCREDIBLE fun, and it is seriously innovative, but "taking next-gen gaming to a new level" is going a little too far.
Halo 2's multiplayer, or GTA III, or Mario 64 are examples of how taking (console) gaming to new levels. I don't think LBP will have that kind of impact. Being a great game is not enough for speaking of "new levels".
There again, I could be wrong, just my two cents.

the level is not there yet, you just have a flat floor and your imagination.
I know but it's basically the same. You have a Level and you can put/take away objects wherever you want. Also, new contendant : Far Cry 2. Just remembered the Vid of the Map Maker in it.
Saying LBP is taking next-gen to a new level is like saying Metallica is taking metal to a new level. The truth is, it'll be another great game admist a season of other great games.
And yes, I'll buy it :)

Omg...When you create the level. Its BLANK, theres nothing there, zero, nada. You create from pure scratch, you dont edit.

Isn't that what you start with in most level editors? When I created some maps in Half-Life back in the day you started with nothing as well.
