Where is nyadc? MIA?
He claims to be a PC gamer but spends all his time in Xbox Defence Mode which NO PC gamer ever does apart from NyadDC (this may well be one of his alts) so obviously he's lying or just plain trolling. Nobody who owns a good PC and an Xbox One is ever buying this on console you can safely write him off as a complete f***ing idiot.
I guess you are forgetting the fact that you get the PC version when you purchase the Xbox version. This makes your statement sound rather dumb.
My point was he is defending the Xbox One version when an alleged PC gamer will be playing the far superior version so won't give a flying f*** how good or bad the Xbox One version is so obviously he is lying about being a PC gamer. Sorry you couldn't borrow the family brain cell for long enough to work that out for yourself.

only if you preorder the digital version
@Zero_epyon: It's an advantage for Xbox because it's on the X1 maybe? Duh. And it's also not on PS4. Thus giving it an advantage for Xbox over PS4.
I guess, but that advantage is cancelled out by it being available on PC. You don't need a super computer to run Alan Wake. I would say the same for SFV. It's not an advantage for PS4 since Xbox owners can play it on their PC if they wanted to.

Its not my fault you made a stupid statement.
@dynamitecop: I have to say WTF are talking about? You can have UI assets at natively higher resolution than what the actual game renders. Infect you can have many many other assets at lower res than others. Perhaps you talking about text or writings that are actually part of the render part of the texture. Pain in the ass to localize. I don't know why your dancing around this. When you here language that says created in some resolution but final output is higher resolution. It means the final output is not the native resolution its as simple as that.

But how many Xbox owners in the real world even have a decent built PC? Or even game on PC?
@dynamitecop:
In article there isn't a single word about final render image is 1080p.
In many games you can find HUD at 1080p and final render image output is not 1080p.
Anyway, game is 720p :
http://m.neogaf.com/showpost.php?p=198666839
"Curiously, the paper also states Xbox One's final output is 1920x1080, and that's where there is some confusion - as we've yet to see evidence of full HD 1080p gameplay in close analysis - barring the title's HUD elements and menus."
If the HUD elements during gameplay are 1080p then that means that the rendering output is also natively 1080p, that doesn't have to mean the internal resolution of the game render is, but its output is. If the game had a rendering output of 720p those UI elements would be upscaled from 1280x720 to 1920x1080 which is not the case.
I don't see how one post from a user on Neogaf means anything, there's layers of things going on here that even Digital Foundry can't figure out, this is exactly why they are approaching Remedy, it's a more complex scenario than is seen in other games and clarification is needed.
The game elements, the game image itself, is being rendered at 720p then upscaled to 1080p, while the interface is rendered at 1080p. That's exactly the case here. Just because the ui is rendered at 1080p doesn't mean the whole image is.

It's definitely his M.O. 'I have an incredibly expensive PC but choose to play games on Xbox One in 900p at 30 fps'. Yeah, right.
only if you preorder the digital version
If you are PC gamer you are most likely going to purchase the digital version anyway. If you own both a PC and an Xbox then it will make sense to get the Xbox digital version which includes the PC version.

Who is defending anything? I'm not defending this, I'm explaining it to a bunch of console gamers who don't understand what they're looking at and talking about. This isn't some straight 720p upscale, there's clearly more at work here and much more than you're all leading on.
I bought this game on Xbox One so I also get it on PC, what kind of ignoramus argument is this.

They use the sdk scaler to produce a final output of 1080p as sort of the standard signal for you tv but pixel count are still from native resolution. can be measure in different parts that may vary. This is obviously better that leaving the scaling capabilities of your screen or some other software. Well xboxone scaler was actually shity at the beginning.
I am sorry to say but you are wrong. The final resolution is natively whatever the GPU pumps out and this case it would be 1080p. This game is most likely deferred rendered allow for various image based effects to be rendered at a lower resolution. This method is used in CG to reduce render times while maintaining the overall quality and resolution. Do not confuse this with upscaling because its not.
Exactly, the final image output is 1080p which is why the UI is able to be native, the game itself is internally rendering scene elements at a different resolution, but when it's all compiled and comes out the pipeline at the end it's 1080p.

I don't see this in real life, but mostly on the internet. Most Xbox gamers try to clown me when I say PC is superior to consoles. Hell console gamers in general where I live think PC gaming is Facebook games. I tried to convert one of my co-workers to PC(when I use to have a gaming PC) and he didn't even know what framerates were!
Its not my fault you made a stupid statement.

Are you still bleating on about him getting a free PC version of the game when he buys it for his Xbox One? WTF is he going to do with a version of the game he can't play?
Please, please keep up with the conversation. I accept English is not your native language, read the responses as many times as you need to before you actually understand what people are saying. It makes things so much easier for the rest of us.
@tormentos:
Again didn't they get that from a neogaf post? But either way no one knows the final resolutions. I say we wait and see.
NO DF tested it and they found no trace of 1080p on the game rendering it was 720p,which is why they are waiting for Remedy to speak on the matter,it happen the same once with Greenberg which claimed a game would be 1080p any way,but the reality was it would be upscale.

I have never heard you once talk about ANY PC game in all of your posts, just fierce defence of anything and everything Xbox One. The weird thing here is PC gamers with good PC's (I refuse to call them 'rigs') are insufferable elitists who seem more interested in tech specs than games (do they ever even play any games outside of indies that look like they should be on SNES?) yet here you are an alleged PC gamer hopelessly devoted to Xbox One nope the two don't add up at all.
I will be playing QB on PC, a good PC, and I'm looking forward to it. What I sure as f***ing hell will NOT be doing is wasting time on here defending the piece of shit Xbox One version.
You, me, let the public decide which of us is a PC gamer and which is a cretinous MS lapdog and in fact quite possibly a MS PR clown desperately trying to defend the indefensible when even Spencer has given up completely on a crap console and started talking about ecosystems whilst wondering himself what the **** he is talking about.

Perhaps maybe we should paraphrase this in a more clear way, the final pixel count is not 1080p. It did not appear so in there measurement correct? You start to go a bit far when you talk about deferred rendering. Unles digital foundry for some how were given acces to measure geometry at different spaces before pixel were lighten up then by all account Im wrong. DF is f**king stupid for claiming a game resolution from that. These are the final pixel count after textures are lighten up and deferred rendering has been applied. Just because your using differed rendering doesn't mean your native 1080p. And I should just make sure that we all going by DF technical review. Which means we haven't measure it ourselves. By pixel counting this is up scaling.
Lems in desperation mode, scrambling to find out why this game has let them down again and again. I say we just all play it and be happy, even though its now a multiplat and 720 sub 30 FPS.
Who will protect the Xbone while all us Xbone gamers are playing Quantum Break? Someone will have to sacrifice themselves.

The game is due next month so we will have a solid info at or before that time.
MP is only 900p. Also bet on frame-rate problems the Bore 4 is only 30% more powerful than the X1.
but that's for 60fps. QB is still 30fps
Uncharted 4 is only 30fps in single player and I bet you are going to see some issues.
...uh yeah. The point was still that it is 1080p/30fps with detailed graphics, while QB is apparently 720p/30fps
Didn't Remedy said it was 1080p? I believe them over Eurocow any day.
Dat denial lmao!

Dat denial and meltdown.
Damn, lems have been completely owned by M$. First M$ teases them with the game in 2013, allowing lems like these 2 clowns above to hype it for more than 2 years. Then they finally reveal it's not an exclusive, and they piss on them a month before release and show the game's true 720p colors lol.
My advice is to anyone who buys the game, is to enjoy it because that's what will make the cows here mad, as we all know cows are never happy when people from another platform gets to enjoy a game they can't.
I'm a cow who doesn't own an XPOSbone and I can play the game at 1080p/60fps on my rig if I want to lol while lems are stuck with 720p/30fps.
@Zero_epyon: @blessedbyhorus: Yep I'm ignorant with computer technology. I don't have a gaming PC, so Quantum Break comes as a huge advantage to me with the X1 over the PS4.

Why do I need to talk about the PC version in this thread? The only relation this discussion has to the PC is the fact that this game is on it as well, aside from that it's 100% Xbox One discussion. You take elaboration and explanation to the state of this game as some form of defense for the Xbox One or this game on the Xbox One, and for what reason? I'm defending what I am saying to a bunch of people who do not understand the technological ramifications and intricacies of what's likely happening here, not the game or the console. Why does discussing something to you have this connotation attached to it? That's something you need to figure out because there's no connection here, honestly it just seems like it's your time of the month and you're having mood swings.
Did you miss this or something? You clowns only see what you want to see rather than what is actually being said, you also make things out to be more than they are constantly.
Quantum Blurâ„¢
This is now trademarked by me, if you want to use it you must pay me a royalty.
@Zero_epyon: @blessedbyhorus: Yep I'm ignorant with computer technology. I don't have a gaming PC, so Quantum Break comes as a huge advantage to me with the X1 over the PS4.
To you, perhaps it is. But to the entire gaming market, once a game loses exclusivity, it loses the sales advantage over other systems. Console exclusives included. I'm fortunate enough to have the option of playing a game that was previously only playable on the Xbox One. Same goes for you when it comes to Street Fighter 5. So what do you think happens to console sales and software sales on that console when a game can be purchased elsewhere?

But what happens when its two completely different demographics?
this is truly disappointing.. the graphics still look fantastic, but I've seen a few gifs of real bad shadows, jaggies central
@Chutebox: Ok let me rewind, you said you own a PS4 and can play Quantum Break, you also said your PC can't run shit. So how can you play Quantum Break unless you have an X1. Perhaps you are the one smoking.
I guess I have to bold your original quote. "If you actually read the article it states it's a great looking game. No sweating here. Only PS4 owners since they can't play the game."
I have a PS4, but can play the game on the X1 that I also have. Can I be more clear?
