[QUOTE="Magical_Zebra"][QUOTE="ps3gen"]The limits of DVD storage capacity are being tested, but will not be maxed out by Mass Effect. During a Q&A update, project director Casey Hudson confirmed that Mass Effect "is a monstrous game. In fact, there was a time -- not too long ago -- when we pretty much scoffed at the idea of fitting onto one disc. But, there's an art to optimizing the data that goes on a disc"; Mass Effect will fit onto a single disc -- "but just barely."

Well, 360 GTA will use one disc, that's right, one disc, and will score the same or even higher than PS3 GTA. You can quote me on that.
Changing disks isn't a very big deal to me, however that is one thing that PS3 owners will never have to worry about doing. Having a larger storage capacity for games can't hurt..tooELEET

I don't think so. So it isn't last gen. Anyway who cares i don't think disc swapping is going to make the 360 fail. If that was the case the PS1 would have failed a long time ago.
Can 360 use triple layer dvds? Honest question.lzorroI think I heard that only HD-DVD players will be able to read triple layer DVDs
Didn't the developers say there are 25 (I'm not sure of the exact number) different planets to discover and explore in this game? No wonder it barely fits. It's huge! :oThe_Game21xIts around there... probably more.

MS already stated that the HD DVD drive would never be used for games.
Don't count on that.

It's huge! :oThe_Game21xThat and they used made voices for a customizable character.....and all those people in it. This should be by far bigger Oblivion, and that game used up alot of space. So that makes me think dev's are getting better at compression.

It wouldn't be manditory, it would be an option for those who bought the HD-DVD drive. Makes sense to me, all it would do would possibly increase the sales of HD-DVD drives.[QUOTE="DanBal76"][QUOTE="lzorro"]Can 360 use triple layer dvds? Honest question.lzorro
Triple layer DVDs? There's such thing, honestly??? If yes, i'm miss informed, and i say sorry.
Yes if I'm not mistaken it holds 15 gb :|Wouldn't have fit if it were in 1080PKeyWiiaudio takes up way more space than that..... thats why its such a large game. Of course the many planets and long story don't help either... Point s, still fits on one.
