Metroid prime 3 has NO ONLINE

Mainly because GameSpot is generally the last place on the internet to post daily news.

Try GAF, Kotaku, MaxConsole, GoNintendo, etc...

They're new screens, they look like garbage and millions of people are wondering why the hell this game was delayed for 8 months.

They're from Nintendo's press site. About as confirmed as you get.

There's a press conference/event deal sceduled for 3 EST (Noon Pacific). Maybe we'll see some video.

But going by those 5 new screens and no online, I just saved myself $70 (CAD) for something else.

it's not fabled. people use it every week to see VC releases.

There's lots of embargos and NDA forms around this week because of "sensitive" information. expect a flood of info in the next couple hours

seriously check some other sources around the net too. Lots of people at GAF for example have access to press sites, recieve PR e-mails etc.

Nintendo has the best business model I've seen in ages... I wish I had the same business sense they did...

Theres no doubt that Nintendos marketing department is absolutley destroying the competiton, but I honestly dont see how the nintendo fanboys get so much comfort from balance sheets and sales charts when the actual experience of owning a wii is so utterly lame.

Yes exactly...  Example, Mech Assault for hte Xbox would have sucked if it werent for it's online play, and even then, that's the only mode I ever played in that game...

Halo, didn't suck without Online play... And due to the great multiplayer of Halo, Halo2's online play was not only justified, but expected...

Strikers is a good example of one that adds legs to the game, MP3 would be an example of one that would not.

That is not really the greatest of reasons. Should Bioshock have online? No... because the game is about atmosphere and being alone. Just like Metroid Prime. Having a generic fragfest just for the sake of having one would only detract from the whole game. Not every game needs online, and this is fact.

Edit: As for the SotC comment about online multiplayer, I would wholeheartedly disagree. The absolute primary theme about the game itself is being alone in the vast world. Having nothing but yourself, your trusty steed Agro, sword and recently deceased love interest... fighting against all odds in an attempt to appeal to an other-worldly being to get its help to bring your loved one back from death.

Bit annoyed, always wanted online, but i no SP will be out of this world (pun intended). 

And the hill is moving and trying to kill you at the same time.

Uncharted is not a FPS, its an adventure game. Those do not tend to have online multiplayer.

Resistance on the other hand does, it has kick arse 40 player online multiplayer!

Metroid Prime is neither an FPS nor an FPA. It is a mix of both. So, please... shut up.

An FPA is a game like Myst. There, boom, done.
