PS2 comes up with EYE toy first on console to use motion controls. PS3 will cost 600.00 so will not be AT ALL wanted by casuals so Sony does not focus on Casual games or motion controls but puts it on the back bunner. SONY HAS the studio and the people that worked on EYEtoy on its payroll doing what NOTHING??!!!! no working on motion controls. Sony already has pattents on a controler that uses gyroscopes and is working on lots of R&D.
Nintendo COPYS( LOLNO, but the idea does not come out of thin air) PS2 eyetoy with motion controls since Sony had it first (sticks out toung like all first graders)
Sony then copies Nintendo kind of whit 6 axis as they just made it up on the spot. Sony had nothing was working on nothing what... R&D does anyone mean (sarcasim) NO they do not, Sony made it up on the spot. Sony had NOTHING before Wii showed off their first numchuck and Wii remote.
Then since Sony was NEVER going to updatge its Motion Controls with the Eyetoy even though they had a new HD camera SO WHAT that means NOTHING!! They never would have updated Eyetoy NEVER, even if they were paying their enginers to work on a new eyetoy it was not even going to be anything like want Wii was going to have untill they saw it.
And even though Time of flight cameras are nothing new, and Sony was already looking into this area along with other areas what MS has done is revolutionary, even though it takes what they EYEtoy did and updates it with Infared camera for distance. and thought some of the game play is simular to some of the games on eyetoy it means nothing.
