Microsoft,we don't want your LIVE in our PC games...Go away!

Seriously Microsoft,don't try and infect PC gaming aswell with your shoddy service. Incorporating 360's with PC's is the worst idea ever. We don't want live and we don't want 360 games! No hermit wants to play Halo 3 on PC and pay 5 bucks a month for friends lists! I'm perfectly fine playing BF2 online for free with 64 people thanks.

NOTE: I know none of this stuff has happened yet,but you can see this is what Microsoft is trying to start here. They've already incorporated live into shadowrun and gears pc. Soon they'll port Halo 3, then other componies will join windows live,and eventually we'll be paying monthly to pc game!

No, if you played any games using it currently you would know it is a total disaster and is not something that is recieved well by PC gamers that have been recieving an even better online service for free for a long time now.

i have nothing against live per se. but if MS can think they can charge for it....well they can try i suppose. personally i wont be touching the paid for stuff on live though (i also dont use live gold on my 360).

still on PC, playing with other PCs is free so im happy enough with that.

Yes yes a thousand times yet. The ****ty piece of garbage known as Windows Live wouldn't allow me to play Kane & Lynch online. Got an error code every time it tried to download account information or whatever. I do not understand why any company would willingly allow Microsoft to infect their game with that bugridden disease. Even if it would work, it does absolutely nothing but shove a layer of annoying login screens and worthless crap in your face. I don't want to log onto your ****ty service, I want to play the game you rotten bunch of arsefaces.

Luckily the very vast majority of companies are steering clear of this trainwreck.

Even though this wasn't directed at me, I shall reply. I bought Kane & Lynch knowing it featured Windows Live, but I did not know, nor could I imagine, how royally stupid it actually was. But I can assure you that in the future, if a PC game I'm interested in sports the LIVE logo, I will buy it as little as humanly possible.

no, PC gamer will buy a game with that crap....every game with Windows live has been a huge disaster.

and their is nothing MS can do about it short of actually improvng everything...they dont own PC gameing...PC game devs have many other options for online standards (preferably Steam)

Ummm, that's because the ported games were designed for Windows and ported over, of course it's going to run like crap. If games were designed for Apple's OS it would be fine. If Windows never exsited then Devs would have built games from the ground up on Apple's OS, just like they do for Windows now..... I can't say it any easier dude :| We never needed MS for PC gaming. True, but I don't think anyone gets it. If Microsoft didn't exist, another company would have stepped up to the plate and taken charge. Who's to say Apple or Linux wouldn't have implemented some sort of Open GL or other graphics standard if they were given the chance to? The reason they don't now is becaue Microsoft and DirectX is too big to compete with.karasill

You assume Apple would be the same company as it is today if Microsoft didn't exist. They would have realized the market of games, and I'm sure with the help of Apple, devs would have made gaming work just fine.
