I'll admit I'm surprised as well. Solid score for those that like baseball games. But I think now we will see less MLB the Show exclusive or not exclusive topics hopefully.

However, one could reasonably argue the thread for AA hype wasn't official. And it goes without saying that 'I saw some posts saying AAAE' means absolutely nothing as well. Which leaves us with utterly nothing. No hype. Without hype there cannot be a flop. So lets review. We can only have two scenarios here, due to evidence:

-AA Hype

-No Hype

Either scenario dictates the game isn't a flop. Pick whichever tickles your fancy but thats all we have to go on. So until there's some amazingly convincing evidence to the contrary can we call it a night and consider this....

If u compare it to soccer, tennis, or football; baseball is not really very demanding physically. The level required, the speed that u play at, is quite different from the sports I just mentioned. Even some professional baseball players have bellys, do u think that's very athletic? I don't think so.

They say hitting a baseball is the hardest thing to do in all of pro sports. But I guess you have a point, it's pretty much just hand eye coordination. I saw a picture of a shirtless Manny in si........not good

8.0 is too low - I like it better than 09 - for some reason I can see balls & strikes better - that alone makes it superior in my book. (using the wide batting view) The pitching meter blows though....that's gotta change. I just use classic and hope for the best.

IMHO, this game has been underrated here.

I've only played 09, but I can't see how 10 has failed to live up to 09 or failed to improve on it enough to warrant such a disparity in score. Or that this game doesn't even match up to 08. It does a disservice to both the developer's efforts and as a consumer quality reference really.

i have it and if you like baseball, its great. the review score was quite surprising. its the lowest score given by a reviewer yet. i think IGN gave it like an 8.9 or a 9, im not sure but thats quite a difference. anyways, if youre a baseball fan, its great. but i will say its sad that everyone is arguing about a baseball game review. seriously. has system wars gotten that bad?!? everyone is arguing over MLB the Show?!?

It's just funny that they put so much effort into getting exclusivity for MLB 10, all the while assuming that it was AAA (though maybe not saying as much), and this is their reward.

Besides, like the other poster said, we are only talking about the skill you need to bat which in my experience is HELLA easier than pitching.

wow gs seems to be on the lower end of scores this year. was pretty sure it wouldnt be AAAE but a 8 is surprising considering its actually better than last years game. and a .5 diff from 2k10 when metas diff is 1.5 difference is pretty big. calling a 7-7.5 for yakuza 3.

I'll admit that I thought it was going to be AAA but I didn't vote in polls or hype the game. I have played the game and it seems more refined then last years game. It's not harder than last year's game. I haven't tried online yet , I spend most of my time on Road to the show so far.

I don't see the negatives the reviewer saw and how it justifies a score lower than last years game. He said it's more of the same, but they have adding more training games for Road to the Show, ability to call a game from the catcher position which is better than just catching pop ups/throwing out runners in last year's game, better presentation etc.

Some of the negatives are , they recycled some of the commentary from last year's game and also some of the animations from last year's game.

I'll take the ownage though, hopefully next year's game bring's the series back to where it deserves to be, AAA
