I agree 100%, take that cartoony crap back to the 80's.i5750at4GhzYou can't be serious :| 100% serious, the game looks like crap.
I think we got the picture that Morgan Webb doesn't like Cartoony Games back when Super Mario Galaxy 2 came out.
Heck even during E3 2009 she said she didn't want to see another Wind Waker Style Zelda Game and guess what? We got a Wind Waker Style Zelda game.
Sessler on the other hand...
Damn, after actually watching that, Morgan Webb just has the most unlikeable personality. She seem like such a fangirl elitist.
There's a huge difference in looking cartoonish and 'not being innovative' :| Especially when you go on to call games like Revelations and Uncharted 3 innovative in the same breath :lol:I see nothing wrong with saying facts, Zelda is indeed cartoonish looking game

[QUOTE="i5750at4Ghz"][QUOTE="charizard1605"] Have you ever played any Zelda game?charizard1605All except for Twilight and Skyward. And in spite of that, you fail to see the point. :| Did The Wind Waker teach you nothing? Graphics don't matter jack, it's all about game design and mechanics, and Zelda has that on lock, it's always immaculate. There is literally no other game series that survives ONLY on the basis of pure and sheer level design like Zelda does. Graphics, especially in the case of Zelda, are a means to an end, the end being communicating said game design to the player. I 100% disagree. Graphics matter just as much as everything else. It's just as much a part of the experience as the gameplay. Humans after all are extremely visual animals.

A game like A Link to the Past holds up better than most modern games, simply BECAUSE of its level design. Same with Ocarina of Time. Same with Wind Waker. I am sorry that your opinion means that you will end up missing out on what promises to be a great, great game, but please stop passing it off as fact. Also, if I may ask, since you seem to have an issue with Nintendo's cartoony art styIe in particular, why did you not play the hyper realistic looking Twilight Princess?[QUOTE="charizard1605"][QUOTE="i5750at4Ghz"] All except for Twilight and Skyward. i5750at4Ghz
G4 is probably one of if not my most hated channel on t.v.

This. I love Uncharted, but come on. I also love Zelda. Games would be boring if it was one of these styles or any other, all the time.

To be fair, A Link To The Past has some of the best 2D graphics IMO. I LOVE them :).

Super Metroid was much better, IMO, and also Yoshi's Island, but if we are talking top down views, then yes, I agree with you. [QUOTE="i5750at4Ghz"] TP doesn't look realistic at all..... Ahhhh Super Metroid and A Link To The Past...two of the greatest games ever made! Both have stunning 2D visuals :). And I love this fan art of ALTTP. THese kind of graphics could be awesome for a 3DS title :P

No you don't. I think it will be my second favorite console one, but I wont hype it TOO much, just in case. Could be the best one yet, but who knows. I have very high hopes.
I agree with the G4 crew and am glad mainstream game jounalists are being realistic about how crappy SS looks. I didn't think any would in fear of hurting peoples' feelings (sheep), like the infamous 8.5 GS gave Twilight Princess. There was a mass exodus of sheep. Lesson learned. I bet GS scores SS a 9 just to keep everyone happy while it'll reslly deserve a 7.5~8...

Nah. Maybe it'll get a low score to make the haters happy while it scores a 90+ meta like they always do.

I will be shocked if scores less than a 9 (and it WILL deserve it).
When someone says Uncharted is innovative you know they are high. The game is piggybacking off Tomb Raider. Uncharted 3 is 2 on steroids and nothing more. As for Assasin's Creed well lets not even go there.
Damn, after actually watching that, Morgan Webb just has the most unlikeable personality. She seem like such a fangirl elitist.

I always got the impression that she was just a chick paid to pretend to like games to rope in a certain demographic.
I don't agree with her here, but I am more inclined to believe her to be a gamer because she has an opinion on the matter.
SS's graphics don't seem to be a problem to me. After all, it's the Wii, and we know what to expect from it graphics-wise. To expect a crazy leap from other games on the system is ridiculous.
To me, the gameplay is what looks to be very poor. The motion control heavy combat doesn't look very fluid. If it ends up being true one-to-one swordplay, then that could be really cool or really tedious. If it's anything less than that I just don't see a point.
She said the same crap about SMG2. I'm not even sure why she's there, because it can't be for her man face.

Well, that was actually the first thing they revealed about the game, before it even had a name or trailer. Then, they went on to make it a focal point of everything Skyward Sword related.[QUOTE="NaveedLife"][QUOTE="charizard1605"] It's confirmed to be one to one true swordplay.charizard1605

Then, they went on to make it a focal point of everything Skyward Sword related.I remember them saying that they did not make it 1:1 as it was just too complex and required too much of a learning curve. I mean it is sort of 1:1, but you will not be peforming any completely custom slashes and such. when you slash, it slashes in that direction (of 10 or so directions i think). But if you move it slow the sword is 1:1 without slashing. Thats how I thought it worked.

It's not like the Wii has a reputation for one-to-one motion sensing, even with motion+. Like I said, that could be cool, or tedious, if true.

Well, it's confirmed 1:1 at this point. Wait, I actually remember what you are talking about, but this is long ago. Esentially, after seeing how well 1:1 swordplay worked in Wii Sports Resort, they were convinced it could be done in Zelda too, and they have done it. Everything in the game uses 1:1 motion. Nothing even uses IR.Well, that was actually the first thing they revealed about the game, before it even had a name or trailer.
