Morgan Webb slams Zelda: SS for cartoony graphics, praises UC3 for "Adults&

My reaction is:

.......Did any of you actually watch the video? She says that Zelda has bad graphics compared to something like Uncharted and how better Zelda would look on a modern console. Sessler is the one who goes on to say that the Zelda gameplay mechanics haven't changed since the old N64 days (whch isn't wrong).

There is an overeaction to the video but I don't see why they introduced a game to ***** about what everyone already knows.

Dude no need get all defensive but beside the racing one I wouldnt and I dont think you would buy any of these games and i wasnt saying all 360 games have blood and guts I wassaying Morgan Webb wants nintendo to have a game with blood and guts or she will continue to hate it thats why she was praising AC:R and UC3.And the 360 doesnt have barely any AA or AAA title that arent rated M all I read about for 360 are game like AC and Halo or GOW3 how many games do you have on the 360 that isnt rated M and is exclusive to 360.

i played gears 3 its a slight upgrade its really not that colorful if it was it wouldnt fit well with its atmosphere the game is heavily based on a grim warzone. we obviously not playing the same though

It wasn't so much her response to SS but her response after UC3. Strip away the the cinematic scripted scenes and the beautiful evironments and cut to the gameplay and puzzles and there is nothing really exciting about it. Why do you think the online multiplayer is so downplayed compared to Gears and Halo, because it just isn't as fun as those games, it's the experience that makes it fun. But it won all these awards and it's "mature" so they get hyped but Zelda that's a kids game "yawn" even with all the changes.

Then they praise AC for changing the formula every iteration. No they haven't, they added new missions varieties SS is adding much more to the Zelda series than AC or UC are doing for their series. It's just typical blind hate is what's annoying, I don't think they've been keeping up with SS at all to be spouting such nonsense.

Not really. What major changes has the Zelda franchise done since it went 3D as opposed to 2D sprites? Motion controls? You get the same setups, same "fetch every special trinket", same characters, etc. It's not always 100% this way with each title, but you'd have to be fooling yourself if you think Zelda redifines itself with each game... :|

You're right. I haven't played SS yet. Neither have you, or anybody else here, so all of this speculation on SS changing up the formula is just word of mouth by the devs (who will say ANYTHING to get people hyped),. My point is, Zelda hasn't changed much since going 3D, and it really goes against everyone saying the series drastically changes.

Also, I'm pretty sure I already said not every Zelda follows the formula 100%, so I don't see why you are even bringing up Majora's Masks, especially when I already said previously in this thread that I wish Nintendo would make another Majora's Mask esq style game.

1 was DARK...Black and grey. 2 was brighter...blacks, greys and some browns...3 was blacks, greys, browns and now added some orange and green. Looks 1000x better with color though. Replaying the old ones it sometimes looked like they were in black and white.
