Most over rated character

who in your opinion is the most over rated?

For me its definitely master chief. I don't understand his appeal at all

Gordon Freeman. Not sure why people like him, he looks like a massive nerd.

He's ugly and looks like he's mentally challenged.

I can't find that pic of kratos which explains what I just said.It has his face and there is bright white light all around.

Kratos shouldn't be on the list. A raging misanthrope. A character many hardcore gamers can relate to.

Gordon Freeman, simply because he isn't a character at all. He's a blank slate for the player to imprint themselves on. What ever personality traits people think he has, is what ever they perceived him to possess. There are no actual scripted scenes the writers depicted him with, only how the supporting characters interact with him as seen from the players eyes, and the player fills in the blanks for how they choose to see Freeman in the situation.

And before you flame, I loved the HL games, they are brilliant and immersive experiences.

if i had to pick from that list i would say masterchief , but really i wouldnt pick any of them because they make the games they are in. Iconic characters who are the face of the industry. I'd say link.campzor

I'm a Metal Gear fan, but I think people overrate the hell out of Solid Snake, especially since his "father" is much more interesting as a main character, IMO.
