I doubt it'll be a price drop. The Kinect is probably the extra $100 so unless they make two bundles (one with Kinect for $500, one without Kinect for $400), they'd be taking a hit of $100 for each console sold (if they drop the price $100 but keep the Kinect). If they do drop Kinect though some one bundle, they'll lose a selling point. That's my guess.

They're probably going to reaffirm that they're not bringing back the DRM features/restrictions, they'll detail family sharing and explain how they'd like to incorporate this feature in the future, etc.

Only 3 more weeks until Gamescom. :D

I dont see the big 3rd party titles having extensive Kinect use.

Most of them will have NO use at all. I cant imagine Final Fantasy XV, Metal Gear Solid V, Battlefield 4, CoD Ghosts, etc even using Kinect at all, except to scroll menus with gestures, mainly because it supported by OS but its something that is not even using it for gaming.

Sorry, you're gonna be disappointed. Their preorders are selling out, why would they drop it when they haven't seen how sells will go yet. It's hilarious how Lems like you think the only reason PS4 is favored is the price. PS3 outsold or tied 360 while being at its worst in brand appeal and being more expensive. Xbox is just too western to have international appeal. It will never be a first place console. Sorry.

MS screwd up plain and simple. 

In this Press Event i hope i see ACTUAL usage of the "cloud" and how it can be implemented to increase graphics , etc or what ever it does. Lems have been hyping the cloud and I still haven't figured out why.

Are there any lems who could post videos showing us why the cloud is so amazing (in actual usage and not just text). If there are no videos, I don't believe any of this "cloud" optimism is worth it.

MS should show how and why their worse GPU and RAM are gonna be compensated by "X" features or the "cloud".

They really need to prove that Kinect is a real thing and not just B-S like kinect 1.0. I wanna see actual GAMEPLAY usage of Kinect 2.0 in action which isn't just geared towards dancing, and little party games.

The media have jumped on the bandwagon massively with the negativity towards the X1, its reached almost every major news outlet and their is no doubt some magazines and websites have sensationalised the bungled X1 reveal to sell more copies and get more hits.

Now the media have perfect ammunition to create further sensationalist headlines if MS get this "reintroduction" right.

Cue    " RETURN OF THE XBOX HEADLINES"

Im not batting for against the X1 in this post btw but from a marketing standpoint a total reintroduction is a smart move if they get it right.

Having a console without mandatory camera is the only excuse devs need to NOT make camera features for both consoles, something that would just cost them more money and time.

You blind or something? Kinect is a fad just like the Wii was. Most casual consumers/non-gamers aren't going to drop $500 on a console just for Kinect 2. Heck, most of the games on Kinect flopped in sales for Xbox 360, & 3rd party publishers/developers aren't going to waste their time & more money implementing many PS Eye & Kinect features on their games for either Xbox One or PS4. 

Also, CoD has beaten Halo in popularity, & having cloud certainly doesn't make games look better.

It needs a better GPU. The RAM is more than enough.
