They loss $400 million in 8 months and the price drop to $350 and the balck Friday one of $330 were not even on effect,the first 8 months 400 millions in loses,so yeah even at full price they loss money and those free games to you are no free to MS which is part of that hole to,do you believe that EA or Ubi will give MS free games and hurt its own sales.? Every game you get free on the unit is a dent on MS profits,and if in 8 months they loss $400 million when the unit wasn't $400 until its 7 month imagine how much worse it most be after the $399 drop and subsequent price drops.

The estimates does include Kinect you buffoon Kinect is about $75 dollars,Kinect doesn't have its own GPU it basically ran on the xbox one GPU reason why it is estimated so low when MS want to sell it for $150.

So once again back up what you claim since you on this post claimed that both sony and MS improved ill wait.

Not really, except for BF, I don't think the official Microsoft Store ever went under 350$. In the end, these were all Holiday season discounts, and not price drops, because after 03/01 (dd/mm) it will go back to 400$. Ergo not a price drop, but a discount.

Can you show exactly how much Microsoft are losing on each Xbox?

How long does it take before the original cost of producing a console comes down?

Do you know if Sony or Microsoft had projected profits or losses they wanted/willing to accept in the first year/2 years of production?

Do you know if the $400million loss was in the original plan?

Do you know how much Sony lost in first year?

Console prices go down i already told you that but they go down with revised models,cheaper fan,smaller case,this for that and things like that which save money have you see any changes in both the PS4 or xbox one.?

Actually the more you sell the more you save,sadly MS hasn't been selling units like sony has been for all year long,and outside US the situation still is bad for MS.

They expected to get even or margin at worst,but they didn't expected a price and freebies war to try to beat sony,MS has been selling the xbox one for under $500 since February 22 when they sold Titanfall bundle for $449 with Kinect,not only they went $50 under the price but also gave you a free game which wasn't their that cost MS money and rise the loss of cost per unit probably to $80 or $90.

Sony loss close to 2 billions in its first year of the PS3,but the PS3 cost of manufacturing was way higher than the xbox one was,it cost more than $800 to make and sony sold it for $599 and $499,sure they turn around the PS3 but never make back what they loss or close..

WTF does what I'm saying have anything to do with the reason WHY MS created the Kinectless SKU? I never made ANY claims as to WHY the new SKU came out but do I really? Everyone knows why and I never refuted it. What THIS discussion is about is calling it a price cut when paying less because you're getting less isn't a price cut, especially when the original SKU is still selling. What good will the Kinectless SKU do me if I wanted to XOne with Kinect? How is it a price cut for that model?

@tormentos: Yes loser, you kind of do need to find the Kinect SKU for $350-400. You're the one making the claim the XOne had a price cut because it does no one any good if they want to buy the XOne with Kinect. That SKU is still selling for $450-500 and that doesn't look like any $100-150 price cut to me.

Your choice is either

A) Find a retailer selling the XOne with Kinect SKU for $350-400 or

B) STFU
