Xbox One is outselling the PS4 when it matters most and that's during the holiday shopping season. The PS4 hype simmered down (it's never going to die), this hype is the biggest factor it outsold the Xbox One the majority of the year and now it's the season where people are really researching and finding out that buying more Xbox Ones over PS4s is better because the Xbox One offers more value to give as gifts for themselves and gifts to others. It's looks like Sony isn't even trying anymore, not even giving anything to their fans for the anniversaries, it was EA who stepped up to give stuff. I guess EA felt bad since their EA Access service isn't on a PlayStation. If the PS4 had like 4 games included at $339 or lower, I would've jumped on it. But even then the PS4 just doesn't have the selection of variety of games that interest people right now so I could wait it out till the next holidays. I guess Sony is too arrogant to match prices and expect people to continue to buy it regardless of price or they can't afford it especially with lawsuits and hacks hurting their financial obligations.

If you're going to practically give away your console its hardly surprising its had a huge bump in sales. As for Sony not trying, I don't think they can afford the losses MS must be sustaining in how much they are selling the XB1 for.

Dude the xbox one is selling because MS took drastic measure and dropped the price Again and give 2 free games again + a $50 gift card so yeah if sony did that the PS4 would have fly of the shelf so fast it would not be even funny.

The PS4 hype simmered down (it's never going to die), this hype is the biggest factor it outsold the Xbox One the majority of the year and now it's the season where people are really researching and finding out that buying more Xbox Ones over PS4s is better because the Xbox One offers more value to give as gifts for themselves and gifts to others. It's looks like Sony isn't even trying anymore, not even giving anything to their fans for the anniversaries, it was EA who stepped up to give stuff. I guess EA felt bad since their EA Access service isn't on a PlayStation. If the PS4 had like 4 games included at $339 or lower, I would've jumped on it. But even then the PS4 just doesn't have the selection of variety of games that interest people right now so I could wait it out till the next holidays. I guess Sony is too arrogant to match prices and expect people to continue to buy it regardless of price or they can't afford it especially with lawsuits and hacks hurting their financial obligations.

PS4's still outsold the Xbone YTD even with November, and that's not including the PS4's own barnbusting sales in November. After playing the Halo 5 beta this weekend, this thread title makes more sense......best shooter I played in years, they have a massive hit on their hands next year if they play their cards right.

Maybe if Xbox division was the biggest one, this isn't the case. As long as they keep up their momentum and make a profit, shareholders will be happy, because more important is cloud and services.
