[QUOTE="AmazonTreeBoa"] at the desperation from the cows to try and make the battery non-issue and issue. This is why I don't tell people that I own a PS3 too often. I wish the PS4 was going to be using AA batteries so that I don't have to take my WIRELESS controller and turn it into a WIRED controller just to charge it. Would much rather just swap out the rechargeable batteries for a fully charged set while the game is pause instead of having to sit close to the TV with a wire hanging from my controller than somebody could trip over, which any gamer knows is a common thing to have happen when playing with a wired controller.Desmonic

So... you have well over 12k posts and just now realized that what all sides do on SW is make non-issues into issue by any means possible? Come on bro! You should know this by now! :P

Stop trying to dodge my point with ignorance.

sometimes electronic devices stop working, who knew?

Apparently making light of that little fact is enough to be classified an apologist so you tell me.

This 100 million could have been use for charitys rather than designing a product for fat little kiddies who need to go outside anyway. What a waste.

You keed crying about me dodging something when I didn't even try to answer your argument, just made an observation. But okay, let's go down that road.

Your argument = destroyed.

http://uk.ign.com/articles/2012/10/16/wii-u-pro-controller-boasts-80-hour-battery-life

80 hours. Yeah, batteries have come a very long way since 2005. AA batteries, not so much.

Bu-bu-but.. recharging! Talk about a f*ckin non-issue  Bu-bu-but cable is short! Just connect it to your damn PC or laptop when not using them and voila! Always playing with a charged battery! Unless of course you play for some 8-10 hours straight everyday lol

Ah the wonders of technology! If only Sony and Nintendo would share their secrets to the world!!

Wii U pro battery has a capacity of 1300 mAh.

Dualshock 4 battery has a capacity of 1000 mAh.

Also, Wii U pro doesn't have rumble motors, a gyroscope, an always on LED light or speaker  (sorry, just mentioning the DS4 gimmicks makes me laugh)

So don't expect the DS4 to last even half what the Wii U pro does.

Also, the DS4 battery is non-removable (unlike the Wii U pro controllers) so when the battery degrades (and it will), be prepared to buy a new one.

Rumble motors are gimmicks? Guess the X1 controller is nothing but a gimmick then! #DealWithIt.

Wow guess I should worry since I had to replace my 2007 Sixaxis like............0 times. Also LEDS use next to nothing.

Meanwhile, for a non-stop use you had to buy at least 4 rechargeable AA (assuming the controller only uses 2, I honestly don't know) batteries so that you could take the old ones off and put in the new ones, which means you also needed a batterry charger (or some other device which allowed you to charge the batteries), meaning more costs, meaning built in batteries a la DS3, Sixaxis, DS4 and Pro Controller >>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>>AA batteries lulz

And the case gets even more one sided if one uses regular non-rechargeable AA batteries and that the DS3 (and likely DS4) can be charged on PC's... You know those little things the whole worlds uses constantly and for a large part of their day to day lives? Yeah, those things.

Yeah, logic brah! #DealWithItTwice

Rumble motors have been proven. I was not talking about that, but everything after. Sixaxis was a total gimmick. The LED light is useless without the Eye. And the speaker, also a gimmick (as seen on the WiiMote  ) #dealwithit

Doesn't matter batteries degrade after every charge. There will be a point where it becomes useless and you need to replace it. Add to that, the DS4 battery has a smaller capacity than the DS3s LMAO

So yeah, I think I'll use the cow argument 'bu bu I already had a blutooth headset ' and apply it here. I already have 8 rechargable batterys

Considering how badly they've botched up every other aspect of designing their next gen offering, 100 million to tweak an already great controller does not surprise.

If they get the sticks, shoulder buttons, d-pad and face buttons right, they will have the perfect gamepad. Hopefully it will carry over to PC as well like the 360.

Pfft! It's obvious the speaker is meant for the MP so that you can properly hear when someone tells you to f*ck off :lol. Nah seriously still don't get the point of it, but whatever lol

It matters since after 6 years of almost daily use I still haven't had the need to replace them. And that argument goes both ways. Rechargeable AA batteries also degrade over time, meaning you'll have to buy news ones at some point  #CounterDenied

So yet again, built in >>>>>> AA batteries  #DealWithIt.

it doesn't actually look like a major improvment in anything .... unlike the DS4 but this may be due to the many flaws of DS3. Still the touch pad is a major improvment and is a game changer.

And lol at AA battries.

I dont know if cows hating it but for people to praise a controller ... First time happens in that degree. Not even sheeps were like that with Wii-mote , which was the main factor why Wii won this gen. Winners winning by global sales and not american sales. Youll see what will happen soon enough .. 3 months to go more or less.

AA batteries aren't going anywhere. And offering the consumer the option of using regular-cell or rechargeable or lithium packs is better than forcing a non-swapable pack onto the consumer. Not to mention the fact that there are other, less economically rich markets in the world where regular batteries are more prevalent.

people rattling on about it cant be 100 million should really look into how R&D works and how this is a drop in the ocean for companies like MS. You have multiple stages of design to go through, research of consumers to do, making sure all the anthropometric design aspects are good and comfy etc all sound like small things but the money spent on making designs good in a anthopometrics sense is a MASSIVE thing that needs to be right otherwise you end up with another duke. and yes i did design at college i've got a fairly good idea despite being horribly rusty since the job market sucks and i ended up a supervisor in a factory and rising through the management ladder hahaha.

[QUOTE="AzatiS"]Only americans will bite to this and maybe some saudi arabians ...noone elseAzatiS

american market is the biggest and its only going to get bigger this gen. thank you Microsoft for making the best console known to man in the XBO.   Cows are hating it!!!

I dont know if cows hating it but for people to praise a controller ... First time happens in that degree. Not even sheeps were like that with Wii-mote , which was the main factor why Wii won this gen. Winners winning by global sales and not american sales. Youll see what will happen soon enough .. 3 months to go more or less.

all Microsoft needs is UK and USA,    USA >>>>>>>>>>>>>> any other market.....    its a whole different ballgame this time,  dat IPTV....

[QUOTE="RR360DD"]Yeah but I can just replace the batteries. You have to replace the controller.#dealwithit :cool:Desmonic
The amount of batteries you'll have to replace will cost more than the potentail controller that I might or might not have to replace  #DealWithIt

What, is this 1990? Who doesn't have rechargeable batteries in 2013. If you don't, then you are doing it wrong.

YESRLY

Incase you hadn't noticed, thats a DS3 replacement battery.

RR360DD

Yes it is. You really think there won't be a DS4 replacement battery? According to you, a controller with an internal battery is disposable if the battery malfunctions. I'm calling your bullshit.

"The battery itself is a non-removable lithium-ion power source."

How can you replace it if you can't remove it?

Oh but I'm sure it's removable. If it can be assembled, it can be disassembled and third party battery companies will be jumping all over a replacement battery. Just wait until all the 12 year olds release their DIY YouTube videos. They always do.

does SONY even talk about the DS4,  all i keep hearing is talk about xbox one, its controller, its policies regarding xbox gold, etc.    You hear nothing about the DS4.    I think cows are more interested in the Xbox One than they are their own system.     pathetic, but i guess thats what happens when you have some shit called knack and driveclub at 30FPS.
