PC parts droped in prices recently and thus shifting the price/performance ratio to PC. Here is the PC. AMD64 x2 3800 - $110 Mobo AM2 - $50 1gb ddr533 ram - $70 160GB HDD - $50 Geforce 7900GS OC(550/1400) 512mb - $190 Case and PSU - $30 XSOS v3.0 - free KB/M - $30 Total - $530 I didn't include a moniter because non of the console come with one, and you can hook that PC up to ANY TV. Note that this PC has a larger HDD, 3x more ram than iether 360 or PS3. This PC will play every PC game out now and as long as any console out today. Of coarse you have the option to upgrade but it isn't nessecery. PC games are cheaper by atleast 10$ with free online and mods. I am not bashing any console but just pointing out that PC gaming is NOT more expensive that console gaming. If console games appeal to you more that play them, but "PC gaming is more expensive" argument is just a myth now.muscleserge
$249, $399 and $499 is still cheaper...
PC gaming is never expensive, only to tech junkies and people that buy AlienWares because they think those are "the best"
Although it costs more than consoles, the quality of hardware you get is more than worth it.

What gamer uses a kb/m that costs $30?:? Or a $30 case?:?Spartan070Probably a cheap gamer. Although the very requirements for the KB/M is less than 20 dollars, the good ones usually cost 100 dollars. But those are very good, and are designed for the hardcore gamers. Its one of the few things cool about the PC, you have a lot of choice.
What gamer uses a kb/m that costs $30?:? Or a $30 case?:?Spartan070I do, it is called newegg and stuff there is much cheaper than in any store.
but i want dx10!!! i don't wanna play the games from last year, wot about all the new coolio ones coming out this year???
plus could that supreme commander on full settings? i heard it was a bit...uh bad game for needing uber computersÂ
What gamer uses a kb/m that costs $30?:? Or a $30 case?:?Spartan070My KB/M was $30Â CAD. That's a Razer mouse and Saitek keyboard.

[QUOTE="Citizen_Zero"]I am going to build my new PC when all this DX10 and Vista stuff is settled with, but damn that a good price for a pretty descent pc imo.InfamousC

the cheaper they become, the quicker they crash & burn out.XenoNinjaAll parts come with warrenties, and are you telling me that not one 360 broke?
[QUOTE="Spartan070"]What gamer uses a kb/m that costs $30?:? Or a $30 case?:?HewkiiI use a $50 case... I dunno, I mean it works just the same but being a console collector I know that if I ever decide to get a PC that's just for gaming I couldn't have it be mundane.

PC gaming isn't really getting cheaper. It's console gaming that's getting more expensive, $600 for a console *bleep* that. Even $400 is pushing the limits. PaktahnWhere have you been? The 3DO and the Neo-Geo were both more expensive than a PS3, and they were like 10 years ago.:| Console gaming is getting a little cheaper actually.

I would cringe putting together a crappy PC like that :| I mean, congrats on the cheapness, but that's all it is - cheap parts, cheap quality. Case AND PSU for $30? Gee, I wonder how stable a $15 power supply is.MyopicCanadian
