Nintendo A No Show At E3?

Nintendo direct is waaaay cheaper plus they don't have anything big to show that can compete with hardware annoucnments from Sony and Microsoft.

or Apple just simply bought Nintendo.

Wii U is in desparate need of a sales boost and here we have Nintendo just not giving a shit about the biggest gaming event ever.   My mind is blown.

Honestly this is a good idea but not right now I think.

Press will get the news regardless. People will probably get most info from a secondary source. It is efficient to do it this way so as not to be constrained by conference time.

Its cool, but they need verbosity, not efficiency. Word of mouth can also spread from conference news, and may mellow out if doing smaller events. News will still spread and will get some excitement in the end, but it won't be based much on kneejerk reactions that get ppl talking as much. This could garner more word based off of overhyping in comparison to calculated excitement.

Now it could be because they are afraid of being phased out, but they probably should have done a conference regardless.

Can someone please show me where it says they won't be at E3? That statement says they're not going to have an investor focused showing like E3 2011 and E3 2012. They're going to focus solely on games for both 3DS and Wii-U.

They have nothing to show, except games they have already announced/shown. Now in playable state. Next mario and zelda late half of 2014 release?

Nintendo is still applying lotion to due to severe butthurt, its down to blind sheep to rub the lotion in ;)
Its not just about Microsoft and Sony showing the 720 and PS4 but developers showing off Next Gen material. PS4 in game footage has been shown already and is taste of things to come.
If you dont want that, then stick to the past and stay there if it helps you sleep at night... and you are in denial.
