3DS is a great system with more great games coming, but you can't help notice what's wrong and what's blatently happening right now with Nintendo.

Nintendo has a history of lowering the prices of their consoles soon after release.

The Gamecube received a price cut 6 months after release.

The Nintendo 64 also received a price cut 6 months after release.

In the handheld department, the Nintendo DS received a price cut 8 months after release.

My favorite console this gen is the 360, but i am waiting Uncharted 2, The vita and the Wii U. By the end of the day Microsoft, Nintendo or Sony dont give you the games, you have to buy it. What more evidence you want when Wii is the first console in gaming history that its first on console race AND LACK 98% of ALL AAA/AA Multis the best developers released for the dead third PS3!!

What more evidence you want when Wii in a year wont be viable AT ALL , when PSone , PS2 , SNES , Genesis , NES,AMIGA , ATARI 2600!!!!!! were viable 1 to 2 years into next gen!!?

That's not a whole lot of evidence dude.

With Nintendo when they make a New System why should they continue supporting something that's going to die off soon.

Sony dropped just about all support for the PS2, The only thing they are doing is just shipping the system, None of thier Studios are actually making PS2 games only 3rd Parties.

I don't even remember there being anymore Xbox Original games coming out when the 360 came out, the only real support Microsoft gave it after the 360 came out was Xbox Live and that's gone now.

I'm looking at Nintendos Games and it doesn't really seem like they betrayed fans or Supported fans, They just made games with everyone in Mind, Super Mario Galaxy gives Fans and New Commers a Great Mario Game, Super Smash Bros. Brawl gives Fans and New Comers a great Brawler Game, etc......

Some Fans didn't like Kirby's Epic Yarn, But look There's a New Kirby Game coming out where it plays like the other Kirby Games. Were Fans Betrayed?

Oh they must have been Betrayed when Other M came out, because the game gave Samus a little bit more of a personality.

And there are MUCH better platformers out there like LBP, Uncharted, and Rachet and Clank. MUCH better IMO than a bad and long over due DK remake and another stupid Kirby game.

I wouldn't say Nintendo have become a cancer in the games industry but they haven't been doing all that well recently. The miserable launch of the 3DS wasn't great neither was their decision to deny North America access to some games. The second analogue attachment for the 3DS is something the system should've accomodated at launch. Another thing with Nintendo is their tendancy to cling onto their successful franchises and characters. Sure Zelda, Pokemon and Mario are awesome but how many games has Mario featured in over the years and another Mario Kart game, Mario Kart 7 is coming up for the 3DS. I think it's about time Nintendo loosened their grip on these franchises and developed some new IP's. I'm sure other people will agree with me here. They need to freshen things up and then maybe become top dog once again.

Got an Xbox 360? It came with a 20gb hard drive? Look at it now, We got 250gb. Same with the PS3, 60gb? HA got nothing on the now standard 250gb and 320gb models!

Theres a difference. The 3DS used outdated hardware and design that was sold for a premium price ... until Nintendo realised they couldnt get away with it and fumbled about reducing the price and promising to 'make it up' to early adopters. It was embarrassing.

1) I have played those games and 2) You still haven't said anything about the games themself and what makes them not a "REAL" strategy game.

Yes it is, i don't like Uncharted but i have never claimed there isn't a single good Uncharted game.

The circle pad add on screams of the desperate Sega Genesis addons of yore, especially the 32x. Except while the 32x was a last ditch effort to breathe new life into a system that was several years old, the circle pad is being released less than a year later! HOW DOES ONE FORGET TO INCLUDE A RIGHT ANALOG STICK AFTER YEARS OF COMPLAINTS FROM PSP OWNERS? It's like Nintendo didn't even try, and I hope whole mess comes back bites them in the ass.Timstuff

It's a Strategy RPG...there's a big difference.

It may have strategy elements but it completely revolves around a single-player narrative rather than competitiveness.

No it's an opinion. Trolling is just being an A-hole, and I don't do that. If you don't like Uncharted I don't care, that is your opinoin. Obviously there are "good" Kirby games, I just don't like them.

That's like calling Gears of War an "action-adventure game."

4X games like Civilization and Strategy RPGs are two different genres.

Strategy RPGs like Fire Emblem fall under the RPG umbrella, making them strategy HYBRIDS, while 4x games like Civilization are unanimously strategy games.

Therefore, it can be argued that Civilization is more of a Strategy game than Fire Emblem.

Good for you, what is yoru point? I don't like Fire Emblem but I do like Advance Wars, I have it for DS. Shame Nintendo doesn't care about it's fans or you would have seen more sequles to it with better graphics ect... I also like FFT on GBA.

And I'm not jealous, age of empires and Civ are in a totally different category and smash the floor with Fire Emblems. They can't compete.

Generally, the drive in real Strategy games comes from competitiveness...to win against the bots or other people.

The drive in Strategy RPGs comes from the desire to complete the story and improve a small group of individualized characters that you build up through the entire narrative.
