Indeed. Perfect 10's are not necessarially about absolute perfection. It's about the reach towards perfection. things done so well that they're nearly unquestionable. That's what it's about. If they have the pedigree, they should get the award.

If the ONLYreason it didn't get a 10 was because of lack ofmultiplayer, BioShock got robbed.

I definitely think so. TXB's 9.5 is one of the lower scores to date. I don't suspect they'll go lower. We know Gamespot will probably give this game a 9.5 at worst. But many other mags will keep giving it 10's because it's so well made and unique. I think it could hang around the top 3 permanently.

And when you think about it, it's even more impressive because of the # of reviews Ocarnia of Time and Super Mario World have on record. Only 32 and 5, respectively. and only 28 for Soul Calibur. Compare with 80-120 reviews now...it's almost destined to bring a score down. If bioshock can stay up there, it'll be one of the most remarkable things in the history of gaming. universal praise on that scope and scale are few and far between. Maybe once or twice a generation.

RE4 had 106 reviews and didn't fall too far. Prime had 93. I bet it'll outscore both of those games if not keep the top slot permanently.

Tuesday, this game is mine. The demo sold me more than anything, and I cannot wait.

Those water effects on an HD set are just superb. I've been waiting for something to take me away from Halo 2 for a bit. Hoping this will make me say, "Halo 3 whatnow?"...At least til Sept 25th! :D

It's almost surreal the ratings this thing is getting. I mean consistent 10s from every site. I'm hoping this will be another one of those "It" experiences in a videogame. Like when I played FF7 or Zelda OoT for the first time. I think I'm so hyped that I'm almost overhyped lol.

9.5 at highest, my guess is 9.0. It will get downgraded for no online, as it should. Maybe a tad bit too short.kool-aids

20 hours is not "short"

It won't get docked for not having online, because it's not the type of game that online works for. It won't get docked just like Resident Evil, Final Fantasy and Ninja Gaided don't get docked. don't worry about it not having online.
