At first I loved the jet pack, but after awhile its just annoying cuz you are so slow floating in the air! It works good on sword base for me. It is alot better than going up the ramps all the time. Sprint and roll are the best and waay better the other abilities.

I don't think it was. There wasn't enough to judge but i really think they need way more loadouts. it can get old with just the ones that are there now... I give it a 8 out of 10 =)

Armor Lock is just annoying. I don't die when people use it because I just hightail it outta there because I know his team will be there soon on cleanup duty. It just seems like such a crutch for bad players. A 5 second immunity to everything, with a split second delay between use. and the ability to recharge your shields and no detriment to using it at all.

With sprint, you can't fire. Cloaking screws up your radar jammer and forces you to move slow to get the full effect (Anything less is pretty visible from my experience). Jetpack makes you a prime target to everyone in the game. Evade is kinda like Armor Lock, because there is no detriment to doing it - but at least its limited to two rolls and the person takes full damage from whatever does manage to hit him.

Armor Lock has nothing of the sort. Without even coordinating with your friends you can use it to survive until help arrives. I'd prefer an AA that's similar to the Regenator replace AL at the moment.

imagine if the delay to use it is like 1 seond and it only lasts for 3. man that would be worthless. I think they should keep it the same at most don't allow shields to recharge when using it.

I don't know, maybe they do =). I didn't get to play with elite stealth it was always evade. Armor lock is weak i agree. I just run away and throw grenades in the area to blow up anyone who comes to his aid. How can they change armor lock? Regenerator is a great idea! I'm glad they did this beta and maybe they will change and add alot more stuff. About grenades... they are so big in Halo Reach they are like big as a cantalope :lol:.

For a mode called Network Test 1, Generator Defense is loads of fun. I must admit I prefer playing as the elites(who doesn't?) since defending usually takes coordination and I don't talk to strangers. The Gladiator loadout is my fav. Makes you feel like a raging bull with a plasma sword and pair of nike crosstrainers.:P GD is the only mode I use armor lock on, when they're nade spamming bravo it comes in very handy.

All that aside, Overlook is my favorite map in the beta. I can't wait to play it in other modes, or even in the campaign. Here's a GD pic from bungie.net I thought was pretty rad...

Yeah, you would be correct in saying it's a test situation. Someone told me that the network testing was for the online co-op portion of the game, which would be sense because there was a bit more lag/frame rate issues at first. I hope there's 6 player co-op too, that would be awesome.

Yeah, you would be correct in saying it's a test situation. Someone told me that the network testing was for the online co-op portion of the game, which would be sense because there was a bit more lag/frame rate issues at first. I hope there's 6 player co-op too, that would be awesome.

I got the chance to play SVE and was impressed despite how ferocious the elites can be. If such a mode would exist, the elites need something downgraded in terms of their loadsouts. Who knows? At this point I still see the spartans having the edge as a stationary force while the elites have the edge in terms of mobility. If they took those strengths into account and give them the proper loadouts (Spartans having Armor Lock and ranged weaponry, elites having roll and close-range weaponary).

Also, Generator Defense I'm hoping is a standard gametype in the final release for us to toy around with in Forge. Also, I hope you can set it for attack/defend and multi-generator defense. It reminds me of VIP but without the human flaw of being stupid in the battle. If they had it in the final, I could see some interesting gametypes with that in mind. Heck, I could see people using it for maps like Sandbox. Pirate ship battles anyone? (Use objects to create ships, have generators on each "ship" and give the players swords and grenade launchers!)

loved playing the beta. I don't know what I'm gonna play now... Splinter Cell has gone stale, and bad company 2 has as well. Apparently that cowboy game turned out to be quite a hit though, guess I'll check it out.

Well, it's been a helluva 2 weeks (and some change). And I loved every minute of the Beta :D The armor abilities add a whole new dynamic to the multiplayer carnage and will change the way players engage each other on the battlefield. The weapons all look awesome in their extra detailing, especially the shotgun and the DMR is a beast in open environments. That really is my favorite new weapon and a worthy successor to the Battle Rifle, though I also gotta give a shout out to the Plasma Launcher.

Powerhouse is the new & improved High Ground, and Overlook... well that map is just GORGEOUS :shock:

Invasion is big team battle done right with tiered objectives that adds a contextual structure to the conflict between sides that fits the story. It just adds so much more than Team killing Team for points. Generator defense is really going to set a new benchmark for multiplayer as well. Stockpile turned a format I never liked before, and made CTF more fun and varied. Head Hunter mode though frustrated me.

Once again, Bungie shows why they're among the Top Tier in competitive multiplayer shooters. :D :D

I really dont know what i'll go back to play now. :( Online that is. I'll pick up Alan Wake and RDR and hopefully have a blast with those, but my daily fix of multiplayer madness has been taken away from me. :cry:

The only suggestion i'd make is that they need to give you the option to boot people who are just acting like jerks. Two guys on our team last night just killed each other over and over running up a score of -30 so we had no hope of winning. Obviously some people just suck so they cant boot you just for accidentally killing yourself but any more than -3 and you should be out.

It was fun playing with you in the beta though, and the beta was fun in general, what's funny is that I hardly lagged in Generator Defense.

I didn't notice much lag until i got into a snipe-off with champ. It was way too laggy to use the precision weapons.

The games netcode was amazing, no lag except in Generator Defence, but probably because I played with people far away (which makes it lag because it was using Co-op netcode for that)
