It was the freaking halo launch month. Remember the month of the halo 2 launch for than xbox 1? Where the xbox 1 managed to outsell the ps2? Yeah, it's kinda like that...

i would of both eternal sonota today, but the game was sold out. they had plenty of halo 3 copies however. :evil:

thats funny i only own one. besides if something ever happens with my 360 all i have to do is call customer service to get it repaired unlike sony with their faulty ps2 where i had to go through 4 of them over the years last gen. only time they actually did something about it was when they lost the settlement couple of years ago.

..no but there was a price drop for the PS3 in August.. it fell by $100 on both SKU's.. And it still managed to end up in last place.. :? Like I've been saying from the begining.. Sony price themselves out of the console war.. It's now between M$ and Ninty.. Atleast until the PS3 drops below $300.. however I'm certain the 360 pro wil be $199 by then..

Sure anyone could tell me what games are better, but I think when it comes to "bigger", we should all be on the same page here.

PS3 will be a $400 console starting Nov 2nd. It is a Blu-Ray player, and is getting some of the biggest franchises in the video game industry exclsuively. Those are all facts, and if you can't tell me with a straight face that such a deal won't look attractive to many gamers, than you are not looking outside the box, and in your case -- the Xbox.

Since the 40GB PS3 won't hit till next month, October sales are pretty much where we'll see PS3 once again drop to 100k.

B.) It was a dvd-player

C.) It was pushed further by games like GT3 and FFX.

You may see some differences in the PS3. But it is its first year, and the titles are coming, the price is being fixed, and it's always been a blu-ray player -- which is arguably why it is at 4.5 million as we speak.

Will it win this war? Maybe. Will it suffer a loss of marketshare? -- you bet.

November NPDs will be interesting, to say the least. With Wii bringing out Galaxy, the 360 with Mass Effect, and the PS3 with a price cut.

Hell will break loose, there will be bets lost and tears will be shed.

Awesome... 360 and Wii FTW... Sony is getting desperate.

20GB discontinued after 2 months... 60GB discontinued after 8 months... $100 price drop after 8 months... New gimped 40GB model after 11 months... And another $100 price drop 3 months after the last one... PS3 sales continue on the down ward spiral.

Better luck next gen Sony... Maybe you will think about the games next time.

A) It did come out first and that was a factor, but if you think $299 (PS2's launch price in NA) is expensive, what do you think $399 is?

B) It was a GAME CONSOLE first and a DVD player second. PS3 is the exact opposite.

C) Two games that had never had to push a $400 console. And those games need to come out NOW, not next year.
