They got the dude who did the LOTR RTS to be the project head. SC was too complicated for me. I couldn't figure out the unit balance what with all the powers and upgrades and whatnot. I guess I might give this one a try. It seems like they are pretty far along in making it so I wouldn't be suprised if it came out sooner rather than later.JiveT

It's not only the multiplayer, but the story I'm so dying to see. We finally get to see what's going on with Kerrigan.

The reason is probably something to do with the story.

From what i can gather, immortals are near inv vs big units(their sheilds protect them from major damage), but are horrible against smaller units(sheild won't work on damage that isn't major). While Stalkers (the tall thingys that look like the aliens from war of the worlds) are great vs swarms, but have no AA, and are kind of normal tanks otherwise.

So for example, if your trying to break into a heavy defended base, immortals would be the way to go, but if they start to swarm you, then stalkers would be best. However, each unit also has its weakness, so its best to group them together.

Oops, it looks like i got stalkers and another unit confused, err... so nm that part about them.

Actually, it didn't start in Starcraft. It's the Asain way for "lol". Koreans also wasn't the first to use it. Japan gets the credit. Maybe HotDaisy is a Asian decent...Then it wouldn't be so offensive to the guy?

Gah, no, I mean I know it's really popular but I couldn't stand DotA, no matter how many times my buddy tried to get me into it.  It always seemed like a neat way to cool down after a hard day's laddering, but nothing more.  No, I'll stick with the ladder.  I can't wait for the movies.  Criminy!  Modern gaming never gets me this enthusiastic anymore, I feel like a kid again.  Help, the umbilicus is choking me, urk, urk, gag.  Brain damage.

I mean, noobs only use those things for the infamous tank drop. Someone good as me will not fall for that crap. Then you have noobs who us it for chockpoint blocks. Upgrade my zealots to max speed and shields, Seige tanks = trash. I think I was at a 65-1 record against Terran.

Well, Covert Ops tech is really a mirror-match strat; Observers and Overlords make nukes pretty impractical otherwise.  But there is such a long history of top-tier, international pro players going tanks against Zerg and Protoss that if you're saying tanks are a noob's choice, you're talking nonsense, plain and simple.  If you're beating newbies who go tanks, it's not because they used tanks, it's because your micro and/or macro are better.  Come on, that's obvious.

I just read all 15 pages of posts just because it was Starcraft related, that all pumped I am for this game. I am so excited, I can't bare it. I hope they make its Campaign/Map Editor like the one they did in Warcraft 3. Customed units, all kinds of trigger effects, and what not would be great. You do so much on eithr game, from Mass games to RPGs and Hero/Unit Wars. Starcraft is not only a RTS, the editor in the right hand could spawn so much more mini-types of genres..

while this is true, you may want to experience sc2 at max settings with 60 fps. So an upgrade is a good idea.
