I like when shots register on your target, which isn't the case in the BF3 beta, on PC or PS3. Their netcode is garbage. The subtle, constant lag translates to lousy hit detection, and an overall broken game.
Pug-Nasty
which is exactly why they have this beta for? the other option would be you having those complaints on the final product, and it would take weeks, maybe months to fix it, and most likely quite a few server maintenances.Well, I did have these complaints about BC2, and it did take them months to address the issue, but they never did fix it. I'm going by DICE's recent track record here, and the state of the beta as it is. I don't see how there is anything unfair about judging a company's products based on your experience with them. It's not like people complaining are watching youtube videos and jumping on some hate bandwagon.
Also, if it takes months to sort out the problems, the beta is already a wash.
The only problem with DICE's track record (patching wise) is that it's slow, despite that they are still superior to the vast majority of online games out there.
BFBC 2 is fixed and even before the hit-reg patch the game was perfectly playable as long as you compensated for the hitreg. ( tapping instead of spraying/bursting worked well. )
Furthermore the so called 'hitreg' problems shown in the youtube vid shows a instant death bug that happens frequently, the hitreg is not of low quality but it is buggy at the moment. Which isn't odd considering that it is a beta
Aside from that most FPS games start out with buggy hit detection, even CSS had issues with the hitboxes lagging behind the player.
