I think this is the point. If you are palying the game on the PC you had to pay for the OS, wich means MS made money on you're gaming exsperience. If you bought a 360, again you are paying MS for the privlage to play games. Lemmings argument is MS is profiting on you playing the games one way or the other so MS wins. I think it is stupid to want a company that has more money then eveyone on this site right now combined to make more money but that is the argument.jbeenPlease don't go on to say that its a Microsoft platform because of this. What about the royalties paid to engine makers from individual purchases or what about the money made by the hardware manufacturers when you purchase their stuff? Does that mean you can infer its their platform as well?

[QUOTE="CaseyWegner"][QUOTE="shsonline"]OK, here's the ONLY thing that matters. The PC is not in competition with the 360, or any other console for that matter. Maybe here in system wars, but not outside in the real world. Outside in the real world, if a game is on one console but not the others, it is an exclusive. Until someone can tell me how being on PC and 360 diminishes its importance with being on only ONE console, then arguing about a game being available on PC is like arguing about a game being available on cell phone.vistamanV5
many people choose not to buy a 360 because it shares so many games with the pc. therefore, there is competition.
Lets be real here Casey in the real world, x360 is only in competition PS3 and Wii... If PC was in the mix for competition MS would limit there games on one platform.... Most people (people not on SW) view X360 and PS3 and Wii, as the consoles competition... exactly the competition for PC is linux and mac. their the one that pose a real threat to PC. i have a 360 and i plan on upgrading my PC later on for gaming. my 360 wont stop me from upgrading my PC since some games on pc are coming to 360. so if its ps3 & pc only its exclusive. if its PC & 360 only its Exclusive. Most gamers aren't PC gamers. The sales prove that. Just look at NPD's numbers and you'll see console games sales are far greater than PC game sales (save for a WoW game on occassion). Therefore, the vast majority of gamers aren't PC gamers.
Cows like to hide behind the PC when debating x360 vs PS3 and it needs to stop. Most gamers will perceive a game like Bioshock and exclusive to the x360 because it's not on the PS3 (or Wii).

Other than WoW, was there any PC game that matched Gears' sales?
In fact, I'd love for you post some PC game sales chart in comparison to console game sales.
You don't seem to be understanding something though. The attach ratio for a console is much higher. Just because more units were pushed does not mean that there are more console gamers by any stretch of imagination. PC games last longer than the average console game, and PC gamers tend to not buy as many titles as console gamers do because of this. PC sales are not indicative of the overall PC market by any stretch of the imagination as you so casually prcolaimed.bottom line is, my 360 collects dust. until MS comes out with only 360 games not pc /360 games, then my 360 will contiunue to collect dust. alfy13
Bottom line is that I own the PSWii60 and my PS3 collects dust. The x360 is a far more capable gaming machine.

Until someone can tell me how being on PC and 360 diminishes its importance with being on only ONE console, then arguing about a game being available on PC is like arguing about a game being available on cell phone.alfy13
many people choose not to buy a 360 because it shares so many games with the pc. therefore, there is competition.
Lets be real here Casey in the real world, x360 is only in competition PS3 and Wii... If PC was in the mix for competition MS would limit there games on one platform.... Most people (people not on SW) view X360 and PS3 and Wii, as the consoles competition... i agree with casey. if it was for gears of war i would not have this white box sitting in my living room collecting dust. And alot of 3rd party that make games for 360 also makes games for pc due to them being mostly FPS games. Even though alot of lemmings feel that Mass Effect will onlyh be for the 360 i beg to differ. When Mass effect was first announced it was annouced for the PC and 360. so i highly doubt that it will be only for the 360. There is not enough 360 1st party exclusives for me to own a 360 any longer. Forza 2 looks good, but i think im better off with getting ps3 and play Gt5. but this is just my opinion. alot of my friends who are pc gamers / ps 3 owners makes fun of me for owing a 360 due to games being pc/360 games. When my pc is 100x better then my 360 on performance. 360 is only good for ppl who down own a up to par pc. you contradicted yourself by saying i have a high end pc and have a 360. you did that because you know that your pc doesnt have nothing to do with your 360. let me see you get blue dragon or ninja gaiden 2 on pc since your 360 is useless when you have a pc. and in the end the winner will be MS. its exclusive to their OS. taht is my point. BLue Dragon is not enough for me to keep my 360, and ninja gaiden is not a game i really care for. i mean if i didnt care for it when i had it on the xbox, why would i care for iit now? Lost Odessey looks way to boring to even consider. but like hey if those games make you happy /clap for you. but those games are not enough for me to keep my 360 when 90% of them games for the 360 is pretty much pc /360.bottom line is, my 360 collects dust. until MS comes out with only 360 games not pc /360 games, then my 360 will contiunue to collect dust.
thats your opinion. your entitle to say your opinion but not the others. you and your friends are saying others opinion by saying if you have pc, 360 is useless when thats not the case. they are not a direct competitor if anything they are more attach to each other than ps3 and nintendo. last time i check my windows media center can connect to my 360. and i use windows media center to play games. my 360 is great and my pc is great if PC gets Halo 3 i wont care.. if final fantasy 13 makes it to 360 i would care :D .[QUOTE="Vandalvideo"] PC gaming sales are actually relatively high and match any individual platform. -_-LosDaddie

PC sales are not indicative of the overall PC market by any stretch of the imagination as you so casually prcolaimed.SAles do show what platform gamers are likely to buy a game for though. That's the point you fail to understand.
Any game released on both the console & PC will have far greater sales on the console.

[QUOTE="peacebringer"][QUOTE="LosDaddie"]what if they play it on a PC.....[QUOTE="cobrax25"][QUOTE="vistamanV5"]While its not literal exclusive, it still can be used as "ownage" to sheep and cows cause they in no way shape or form play it on there console of choice...LosDaddie
Most gamers will perceive a game like Bioshock and exclusive to the x360 because it's not on the PS3 (or Wii).
you can't assume that because games sell well there more gamers. it's the same gamers buying the games. Console player buy more games. Mostly because console games can be short. a PC game you will play for months and months because of Online. not 100% of titles on Consoles are online and even if it is doesn't mean it's fun. games like Half Life never end and i just downloaded golden EYE source and it's fun and it was free so why would PC gamers go everygame when 1 or 2 is good enough. Thanks for backing up my argument! :D
Console games have far greater sales than PC games. Just look at any NPD figure.
but Theres still more PC gamers. 10 million xbox 360 sold. over 250 million pc worldwide capable of Half Life 2[QUOTE="Ezgam3r"][QUOTE="LosDaddie"][QUOTE="Vandalvideo"] PC gaming sales are actually relatively high and match any individual platform. -_-beldugo

Have you even been following the discussion? Pay attention.
The point that gamers are far more likely to buy the console version than the PC version. The sales prove that.
Therefore, the PC has no relevance in an x360 vs PS3 debates.
