What mystical consoles can change there operating systems. And since when did I HAVE to use vista. I'm not even using vista.
Too bad all you PC gamers are marooned in Windows Vista, if you game on a console you can choose your OS.007_jamesbond
WHAT?!?!? with windows vista and directx 10, pc (Windows) gaming will always be ahead of console gaming
He means if you game on a PC, you have to use Windows. If you game on a console, you can use a Mac since you don't need an OS for your games.Tread makes n sense:?

1. Most PC owners probably haven't upgraded to Vista yet.
2. Name one console where you can LEGALLY change the OS on.

I'm not trying to say that consoles can run three OS's. I'm trying to say that if you game on a console then you can have a computer that runs any OS you want. You don't have to use your computer for gaming, therefore, you don't have to use Windows.
Ok then, good thing Vista is a good OS.

You are not going to use Mac with games!
That's is why you have consoles for!
No one uses MAC OS,cause it doesn't support many Graphic cards, and its OS doesnt have something called "Alt+crtl+Delete",Plus the mouse only has one button... WTF! You go to XP if you want. Plus Vista is compatible with XP games, but you have to have like 1 gig of ram to run games that uses 512mb. -.-... Its a double Edge sword.Hitamaru-homia
I thought it had 7 buttons. :(
I do use Vista regularly, in a cage on my MacBook Pro. It is an unfortunate OS. If I had to live knowing that was inevitably my future operating system, I probably would have died a little inside.Ok then, good thing Vista is a good OS.

What? You can't choose your OS on a console (except PS3 which can boot up various Linux OSs) and no console can run Windows or Mac OS X. PC gamers aren't stuck with Vista, they can have XP, 2000, 98, heck why not 95. All you Mac owners and Nintendo owners have is one OS with updates.AIH_PSPps3 can run windows off of linux

You call that an aurgument!?!
No it's not an argument for or against Macs my point is nobody cares what OS you use so don't try to force it on us. This whole thread is talking about how people should give up windows/Linux to get Macs and my point is We don't care if you use a mac and that we have the mental capacity to decide what OS we want to use. On a side note should this even be in system wars. Macs are a type of PC and so therefore this is not an argument between two systems. It would make sense if it was in the PC thread but then it would have been butchered by the hermits so instead it was posted here.

Why wwould you want to use a Mac anyways?DireToadMore user friendly, faster OS, no viruses, easy navigation (dock and expose), and just generally more enjoyable to use.

The link is saying at the start that PCusers(other then Macs because Macs are a type of PC) hate it when Mac users constantly bug them to give up other OS and go buy a Mac. Then you start talking about how gaming companies are moving to Macs. I will assume this is true but the point still remains that Mac users become annoying with the way they preach Macs on forums. That is actualy how I got the link when on a different forum this guy started telling people how they should get Macs and throw out there other PCs. It seemed like it fit into thisargument as well.

Exactly! A PC is never going to limit you for options.

less games though. and thus makes if a distant option for a pc gamer doesn't it?
also most of your reasons are subjective and just not true for all users.

Subjective, I use Vista at home, MAc OS X in College ... I find it pretty much the same in user friendlness, its slower (Naturally due to hardware though)
No Viruses? Viruses are useless anyway, none of them you get pose a threat... Ive had viruses and adware for years not once has it effected me, free software deals with it anyway.
Dock and Expose is different to putting stuff on the desktop how really? .. I got the same thing with the windows tray or better yet sidebar >>
... last point is very very subjective, I dislike it alot.

Mac is overrated. I own a Macbook and while I think the hardware is outstanding. The actual OS is nothing special, I'm still trying to find out what makes it better than Windows XP.

Well, Leopard comes out on the 26th. Vista copied the old Mac OS, so we'll see what new features Apple will include this time. Tiger is better than XP for the reasons I just mentioned in my previous post.[QUOTE="007_jamesbond"][QUOTE="cakeorrdeath"]Tread makes n sense:?

I guess you could, but that would be really expensive to have a gaming PC and a mac (which is pretty costly by itself).
Console gamers would only have to buy the Mac.

On worse hardware, Mac OS X runs faster on my Mac than XP does on my PC. Expose is great. I can flick through my open windows much faster than I can using the taskbar. Though Microsoft, through Vista, did attempt to copy it, naturally. Please Log In to post.
