I must say 1fragleft did make some great points. Someone who wants the pc experience has but 1 platform. Someone who wants the console experience has multiple choices. Since consolites are divided by brand competition it would require up to 5x more consolites than pc gamers for any one console to have a chance against pc.

Someone who wants a gaming experience has 4 platforms choices this gen. PC, PS4, XBONE, and/or WiiU.

The Xbone and PS 4 experience have much more in common with each other than the pc. Undeniable fact.

There is no grouping some of these together into "MS Systems PC and XBONE" or "HD twins PS4 and XBONE" or "Consoles Only". They are 4 all against each other.

360 and PS 3 are still competing and have lots of games on the horizon.

I've made many points that support the idea of there being a pc experience and a console experience. Your turn to explain how the pc and xbone experience are just as similar as the ps4/xbone experience.

There are adapters that allow use of any controller on any console.

Barriers to entry on PS 4 and Xbone are identical. PC is a completely different beast.

Go into a gamestop or any dept store and you see all the consoles for sale. Gaming pc's are either scarce or mia. PC's aren't in direct competition with consoles.

A prospective gamer wants a system with a low cost of entry, hates gaming on m/kb, doesn't want to have to upgrade, wants to be able to trade in games and likes the convenience of being able to buy games from any dept store.

Someone who enjoys modding, wants to play with m/kb, likes mobas, likes building their systems and upgrading will not be torn between a pc and the xbone.

A prospective gamer who wants a system with a low cost of entry, hates gaming on m/kb, doesn't want to have to upgrade, wants to be able to trade in games and likes the convenience of being able to buy games from any dept store will be torn between the ps 4 and xbone. He will not be considering a pc.

What do you think the whole point of the steam box is? To give users a more console like experience.
