From what I saw from the recently revealed rumored specs that console will be a nightmare to program for because of the multiple CPU's and GPU's.Make your hardware simple and easy to program for MS.Don;t make a convoluted mess like this.It will piss of any dev that is not good at undrstading hardware.

You realize that the 7990 is a dual GPU with a 300 watt power draw. You cant really cut it down that much. It would be more likely that the GPU will be related to a APU or mobile graphics card

Cool bro, then you need to get your stuff straight to be the best right now you need 32 gb of ram, a thousand dollar cpu, and about 2 grand worth of gpus. plus another grand in sometype of thousand dollar ssd raid. Plus about 500 dollars to run a custom water cooling system

So, 3 CPUS, 4GB ram, and Kinect v2. Still no definite GPU. It will be very powerful of course. I am guessing AMD 7990.

Will be $300 or $99+contract. Microsoft kicking ass. Easily will last 10 years with these specs :)

Radeon X1900XT has 48 PS+ 8 VS i.e. a total of 58 shader units.

Xenos's unified shaders works in the following modes i.e. (shader units are organized in three SIMD groups with 16 shader unit)

1. 16 VS + 32 PS

2. 32 VS + 16 PS

3. 0 VS + 48 PS

4. 48 PS + 0 PS

it was the first GPU on the market with the unified shaders, as it launched before ATI's PC versions of the same architecture (at least that's what I believe). However, it was out muscled by existing PC GPUs.
