There is no need to nitpick the PS3!. You'd have to make something up(happens in SW a lot). You probably know that the 360 will be getting a price drop soon and I was considering it a little. Why not be able to play 360 exclusives? But I cant justify this system after witnessing the old technology the 360 is decorated with.

Well, James came back by and I told him how much Ive been enjoying Halo. After a few minutes of discussion, he offered me his 360 for $130. I get the 360, one wireless controller, PerfectDark Zero, NFS:Most Wanted, Dead Rising, Superman Returns, Lego Star Wars II, Crackdown, Star Trek Legacy and Madden 06. Plus original Xbox games - Amped, Halo, Enter The Matrix, Wreckless, Dragons Lair 3D, Simpsons Hit and Run, Spiderman and some demo disc.

I ask him if he was sure a couple times, then proceeded to get my wallet out and seal the deal. I didnt want to spend $400 on a new 360, but I couldnt pass this up. Obviously, most of these games dont interest me and are going on Ebay. I will probably get my $130 back just from selling the games I dont want leaving me with a FREE 360. Cant beat that.

Is there any way to RROD this thing on purpose so I can send it in and get a newer model with the HDMI output? Or should I just forget it and enjoy my free setup? Anyway it will be nice to nab exclusives for this and I'll probably get Halo2 and 3 right away.

I didn't even need to read any other posts except for the TC's. You are exactly right. I recently purchased a 360 just to take it back 7 days later. It just felt cheap compared to the ps3, like you said so last gen. From the hardware to the UI that was just to clunky and old looking.

But get this, the one I got had a hdmi port but I couldn't use it cause the optical audio was part of the componant cable assembly lol, that covered up the hdmi port. So I had to chose between hdmi video or componant video. If I chose hdmi I then in return couldn't use optical audio to my surround receiver lol. I just couldn't beleive that the optical audio wasn't built onto the motherboard of the unit like the ps3, but instead put onto the componant cable assembly which to this day I still haven't seen something like that besides with the 360 lol.

I didn't get an elite 360, I got a premium 20gb when I got one. That cable is not listed on the box, and not listed on any of the premiums at the store as having hdmi included. I was going to use an extra hdmi cable that I had already, while running the optical to the surround receiver, just like my ps3. But the 360 didn't come with that cable.GreyFoXX4

. I played a little Dead Rising, Crackdown, Perfect Dark Zero and the graphis are downright cartoony compared to PS3 titles like Uncharted and MGS4.

Hmm, in a year and a half, I've gotten 16 games, and getting LBP, Socom, R2 soon and KZ2 in Feb. 09. So waiting 2 years for a system only has been out only 2 years in Nov is a bit of a stretch don't you think lol. I say no I didn't know that the ps3 had worse games since being the avg rating of a ps3 game is like 77 while the avg rating of a 360 game is like 74. But yea I did know the 360 had more games. And also I didn't know that voice chat on the ps3 was that bad being I can hear everyone and their side conversations on my bluetooth, did you know that there is volume adjustments for the ps3's voice chat? But I will also say that while I did have a 360 I couldn't hear a word from anyone besides some mumble while playing gears online. So I guess everyone can have a bad experience.

But head phones connected to the controller is so this gen aswell as the Howard Cossell head phones.

But the topic of this thread is just how bad the hardware feels and looks aswell as the UI of the 360 compared to the ps3 feeling more modern. NOT GAMES. People bash but never answer any of the flaws that TC or I have brought up that just make the 360 feel well cheap compared to the feature and quality of build the ps3 has.

People say the 360 has better games, but yets statistics don't show this. And also its all personal oppinion. I played gears and that helped my decsion to send the 360 back. So don't say worse than playing sales while everyone else throws around oppinions.

360 : 14 AAA games , 82 AA games

PS3 : 5 AAA games , 43 AA games

Im just saying, as a piece of hardware, the 360 has more in common with 6th-gen consoles, save the HD. That cluncky disc tray is just outdated and cheap looking, MS is the only one who still uses it.

Howard cosell headset? Get the wireless 360 headset. The headset that comes with the premium IS FREE. Are you really complaining about something that is free as much as you Sony fanboys like to wave PSN around? Of course it isn't better than the wireless you have to pay for.

The 360 has HDMI and the UI is just a preference. I happen to like the way XBL is setup better than PSN which is a mess.
