Except an iPad or PC are completely over expensive compared to a Vita. Especially the iPad.

Hard to be impressed enough by that to buy it when theres next to nothing to play on it.

That's my biggest problem with Sony. They're too concentrated on high technology and other features that would make the handheld more expensive rather then concentrating on simpler features for the machine.

That the problem with Sony has a whole. If they would have came out with a gimmick to sell the Vita rather than make a more powerful system it would have been more successful. The tech like 5" screen, built in dual analogs,six-axis motion sensing, multitouch newer than resistive on 3ds. not that there's anything wrong with 3ds but vita is what I've always wanted in a portable[QUOTE="p4s2p0"][QUOTE="HarlockJC"] What there to be jelly about?WreckEm711

I did buy more psp games so I kinda agree. But ninja gaiden wasn't on psp so I missed it, hooked so much haven't played unit 13 yet. The other game I have and I see a lot of people on my friends list play they also play marvel vs capcom3, dynasty warriors, uncharted, wipeout as well. Why do people come into a sales thread to talk about their experience with PSV, how great its library of games is in regards to quality instead of selling power and how great the tech is? You realize that you are basically admiting defeat by doing so right?
But its not defeat it's what got me interested in portables in the first place regardless of how many it sells long as its enough to support games like n64 and gamecube did when the competition was way ahead If the roles were reversed would you stick up for 3ds any less? Or just enjoy the system and stick up for it by telling people what you like about it.Why do people come into a sales thread to talk about their experience with PSV, how great its library of games is in regards to quality instead of selling power and how great the tech is? No I mean defeat for those who didn't believe me when I said that PSV would flop (and others), however they won't man up and give me credit for my accurate prediction, instead they talk about things unrelated to sales in a sales thread.

Gotta I bet their tears taste sweet. I don't have anything against 3ds, vita is just more my style. If I get some extra cash I will probably get one with resident evil and splinter cell which I'm jealous was a launch title. They should put goldeneye on it I would be setAlot of times sales can equal more games. The vita has a lot right now because it's a new system. If the system does not keep up with sales, then 3rd party companies will pull back like they did with the GC and the latter years of the PSP.Why do people come into a sales thread to talk about their experience with PSV, how great its library of games is in regards to quality instead of selling power and how great the tech is? Are tablets and PCs just handheld gaming consoles?

Agreed, the hardware and the horsepower are extremely impressive overall (few flaws of course). That is pretty much a given. It's just the majority of gamers don't like the launch library and the pricing/memory card. That is definitely whats killing it.

Well duh that's the point. "impressive, but expensive". PSV is way too sophisticated for its own good.

"given the fact that the 3DS launched at the same price with inferior tech, a pathetic launch lineup, most of its functionality missing, and more"
That means that is the brand that sells.

The "Well duh thats the point." is exactly where I'm getting at. I definitely know thats the problem but man everytime a new thread opens up days later, some peeps seems to forget "the point" if you know what I mean.
For a company caring about the "hardcore" gamers and coming out with exclusives left and right. They're really great in my book. Unlike a certain company going the casual route with hardly any exclusives.Sony has become such a failure of a company it's embarrassing.

How can you even say that? Uncharted was supposed to be Vitas surefire AAA and it was one of the biggest flops ever. You cant predict AAAs.
Vita's lineup is terrible when it's only AAe game is a puzzle game. What a terrible launch for a terrible platform.

How is Uncharted a flop? It received well reviews on other sites. I don't take reviews seriously because critics don't decide whether or not I should play that specific game. Don't know what the Vita has in store? Here's a list for you:
Resistance: Burning Skies
Gravity Rush
Exclusive Assassins' Creed
Exclusive Bioshock
Brand new LittleBigPlanet
A Brand new Killzone game
Final Fantasy X HD
A Monster Hunter remake (Rumor is Capcom is making one)
An Exclusive Yakuza game
An Exclusive Lost Planet
and more coming out at E3. The PS Vita isn't going anywhere. Also, the Vita has a better launch lineup than the 3DS and more so your comment is illogical.

Why early release are when sales are usually strongest. You Vita fans think that just because Nintendo turned 3DS around that Vita still has a chance?
Nintendo had room to drop the price and huge portable franchises to save it. Vita has nothing.
I think there are two things they could have done:
1. Drop gaming from the system. Make a tablet to compete with Samsung and Apple. Make it look pretty, change the ugly UI, put a really high resolution screen in it, make it have complete access to the Android Market, put it in a fancy box and sell it. The PSV currently already has the "pretty" and "high resolution screen" aspects down, now all they need to do is get rid of the ugly buttons and joysticks, make the screen bigger (while maintaining the same quality) and put it in a fancy box. The PSV has the worst box I have EVER seen for high end product. It is an ugly blue/white mix (and i've heard blue doesn't sell well) slopped on a cheap cardboard box. It honestly looks like something that a cheap peripheral would come in.
2. Completely redesign the system to make it more neutral in every imaginable way. The DS and 3DS can be played by boys and girls, young and old. That doesn't mean it can't have "hardcore" games, it means that it is open to a much larger audience. Sony is going for the "late teens to thirty male" demographic and from a business point of view, I don't think this is a smart decision.

It did sell well when it first launched. You're getting delusional. If you think the Vita will end up like the PSP software wise, you're wrong. Sony said themselves that they are serious with the Vita. I'm done talking to sheep/lems like you that don't know anything. Now if you excuse me, I'll be playing Wipeout on my PS Vita right now. Please Log In to post.
