Microsoft delivered Halo, again. Gears is ok minus the rampant screen tearing(Shout out to V Sync FTW!) Fable(tears to hell and back as well). M$ has very unprofessional developers, they can't even V Sync exclusives because the tech is so dated on 360. How the hell does M$ sell so many consoles? I know the online is better, but c'mon, any real hardcore gamer would want a PS3 over an XBOX 360. Say whatever you want or would like to think, SONY out did themselves with high quality exlcusives only available on PS3 because of the system's power.

I like COD as a quality game but to compare it to the Halo franchise???

Unless you live in japan , PS3 and Xbox360 share the majority of game releases. The Wii kinda gets left out due to hardware limitations. The xbox360 kinda bombed in japan so the PS3 is pretty much king over there with tons of JRPG's the west never sees.

If you like (largely) second-rate franchises that were designed solely to compete with another series on another platform, sure. Resistance, Killzone (Killzone 2 aside), Uncharted, inFamous, etc.

They're are better multiplat and exclusive franchises in every one of the genre they are competing in.Ironically, the best games on the system aren't even made by Sony studios. I'll give you diverse, but best?

but if you want things that way then:

-Wii sports is the best game this gen.

-Wii is the best console, followed by 360 and then the PS3.

-COD is the best franchise on 360 as well as PS3.

I would agree.

In terms of my own library I only have Gears 1 & 2 (triple pack on black friday) and Reach.

Reach is avearge at best for me. It's not a terrible game, its just that I don't get into it as others do.

For the PS3, I have GOW3, Heavy Rain, KZ3, UC2, UC3 being shipped soon from Amazon, MGS4, inFamous, LBP and a few others I'm missing.

I can somehow agree, however it's library is just way too similar to the 360 to really consider one or the other superior.

Highest quality exclusives? Definitely not

There are about 2-3 exclusives on the PS3 I'd label as "high quality", and by that I mean you'd buy them over a multiplat in the same genre.

As far as it goes PS3 exclusives pale in comparison to the top exclusives of other platforms, and also the top multiplats of this generation.

The most diverse library? Nope, considering the PC has pretty much every genre ever concieved on the PS3.
Anyway, the system with the most diverse library is the DS. Not only did it have a load of already existing genres, it opened the door to new genres, (cooking mama, brain training, Trauma centre, Professor Layton etc.)

As a matter of quality? Well, the PC gets my vote. That is, if you're like me and love RTS & MMO.
