This has only happened twice. Once with Uncharted messing up, and now this.

I mean WTF? The PSN network crashed worldwide and it does NOT become top news on EVERY gaming site?

its not just Heavy rain thats affected for offline. i cant play anything offline Darksiders, Nba Live, etc.. It seems all gaming aspects are affected(with few exceptions)

Bummer. I have an xbox but I know what it's like not being able to get online. Here's hoping Sony fixes the problem soon.

Nope for a lems mind it happend at least 5 times a week. Fanboys minds are scary places.

I'm currently experiencing this problem. I can't log in, my date has been reseted to 1999, two of my themes became corrupted, and trophies won't unlock in God of War.

It's probably caused by the firmware cause the same thing is happening to my PS3 and it hasn't been connected to the internet(no wires connected) since thursday.

hints:

try some inferences between PS2 and 360, and go see how bad the PS2 was at launch. Don't spew BS, mine is in my cabinet fully DRE'd.

Look at SquareTrade's study. Both of them. I like to think a major warranty company would know more than a mindless fanbot.

I've owned THREE 360's, two of them broke within a year... I did a quick search... and got these numbers.

Last years failure rate on current gen systems:

Xbox360: 54.5%
PS3 10.6%
Wii 6.7%

yeah they've "really" corrected the problem.

How can this problem be rectified? I'm not able to get any trophies whatsoever.
