PSN IS NOT Down!

suprised if this isn't fixed by tommorow. i'll play fallout 3 on my 360 tonight i guess.

something is seriously messed up

i haven't even had my ps3 connected to the internet (not even have the cable hooked up) but i'm getting this issue now and can't play Darksiders (only disc-based game i've tried so far) and can't play any of my PSN games either

checked the clock: 1/9/1999

i've got a 60gb PS3, so i'm ******

I have a 80gb phat PS3 and I was playing Heavy Rain all weekend, I also played Uncharted 2 online a bit with my friends and they have older phat ps3s than I do, I didn't even know there was a psn problem, the only problem I had is that I found out I couldn't use my Heavy Rain DLC code until March 4th :D

For all of you that want to know:

The Official Playstation website is working. You can sign-in using your PSN account and check your trophies there. None of my trophies are missing but none of them were missing before this whole debacle.

Probably but after reading most of this thread it just feels like Lems are making some huge deal about this more than those actually affected.

I have a phat PS3 and can connect to PSN just fine. It's an 80GB Motorstorm bundle PS3 btw. Not sure how many people this is affecting. It seems like a lot, but it isn't everybody since I can connect. Guess I should consider myself lucky.

Tried Uncharted 2, worked fine. Also tried GTAIV, and it works fine as well. I got signed back in to PSN when quitting UC2, but I'm assuming that's cause it automatically signed me out when I was asked to download the latest patch. I didn't though since I'm not downloading anything till all this is fixed, lol.

yep

i get this everytime i try to play a PSN title (fat princess, FF7, warhawk, super stardust HD, etc.) offline:

i get this with some PSN games like Rag Doll Kung Fu:

(says: "An error has occurred: The game is corrupt, please re-install the game. etc.")

i get this everytime i try to play darksiders:

sucks

And right as I beat a boss in Dragon Age the game freezes up, I have to shut off the PS3 and once I start it back up ta-dah! Error 81389482342985254857389543857 pops up and I can't even load up Dragon Age.

Oh well I'll take it as a sign to do my homework now.

Please note my edit. PSN is not down and it's a time problem on the PS3's that are affected.

you just get error 8001050F again

manually resetting does nothing either

a few disc-based games that don't work:

• Darksiders
• Demon's Souls

a few disc-based games that still work:

• Uncharted 2 (even let me download the 1.05 patch)
• Infamous
• Little Big Planet (also let me download the latest patch)

dunno (still can't connect to PSN anyways)

Demon's Souls works. My PS3 seems unaffected by this problem. I wonder if it's only certain models of phat PS3s.

Are firmware updates released through PSN? Or through the internet? Cause if it's PSN, Sony has a serious problem as people won't be able to download a fix. They'd have to give everybody free slim PS3s. Or free repair service if the fat ones can be fixed.
