I'm saying the games they offer don't accumulate. SO they are offering Wipeout HD this month. If you don't download it, it goes away. This is very clearly stated on Sony's own website:

So what I was saying is that they aren't technically ALWAYS adding stuff so much as replacing it each month with new choices. But for people who don't sign up THIS MONTH, they miss out.
And no, with XBL, your games DON'T stop working. If you buy/download a game off of XBL, it is yours. Just like if you download a game off of PSn...it is yours FOR EVER. But if you download Wipeout this month as their "deal", then you decide the service isn't for you, you LOSE that game. You can no longer play it. So what did you pay for?

And games like Wipeout are only available as long as you keep paying the fee. So stop paying the fee and you can't play Wipeout, or future full games, any more.
Then there is the issue that all PAY services eventually face; the issue that a successful pay services eventually sucks up things that USED to be free. So if PSN+ is successful, then I can see Sony starting to remove stuff from the free service and moving it to the pay service. This ALWAYS happens.
I'm going to get PSN+ for a bit to see if it is for me or not, but I wouldn't call it "mindblowingly awesome".

There is NO limit to how many times you download something. But there is a limit on how many active ps3's your account is on. Which is 5 by the way. My games have a party system, Cross game chat or Party chat is a game killer and community killer, community events go into home or go to ps blog.com, and a involved community staff, really? I mean really? Just let me play online for free and I can setup clan events, and give us option to vote to kick and the community can police itself. I don't need some imaginary dude hoping in every once in a blue moon as if that justifies my $50 a year to play my game I purchased online. Chime's only 240 points (like £2) but Winterbottom's always interested me visually. And yeah, why can't people grasp that it is no way a 'free' game...it's a rental that you've paid for.

Think I've heard it all now :P The amount of times I've been invited to a party by random players I've just played with is incredible, and party chat helps you to socialise better with your online friends. Case in point....I'm playing Alan Wake, my friend is playing BC2 - we quickly chat so he can ask how I'm finding it etc. It is NO way a bad thing :PJust to clarify some things, there is no three month free trial for PS+. Only the people who paid $50 for the annual subscription will get that extra three months. I was really hoping that every one could have at least check it out and have a free trial. But I'm not surprise when most PSN Arcade games doesn't even have free trials too.

It will not over take hard copies at all....that includes a party system, cross game chat, cross game invites, community events and an involved community staff... things that PSN has yet to integrate in any meaningful way.
Riverwolf has a valid point. In the guise of improving what they offer, they've only offered special acccess to the PS Store.... and that's it. Very little..if anything.... having to do with playing games online.
And yet people are saying this levels the playing field with Xbox Live Gold? Sorry. XBL is still ahead when it comes to its online community. Throwing around new ways to access content isn't gonig to change that.

I'm saying the games they offer don't accumulate. SO they are offering Wipeout HD this month. If you don't download it, it goes away. This is very clearly stated on Sony's own website:
As a subscriber, you can expect to get your hands on free monthly PSN games, minis and PS One Classics from the PSN Store. You will be able to download these games during the month they are available until the new selection replaces them.
So what I was saying is that they aren't technically ALWAYS adding stuff so much as replacing it each month with new choices. But for people who don't sign up THIS MONTH, they miss out.
And no, with XBL, your games DON'T stop working. If you buy/download a game off of XBL, it is yours. Just like if you download a game off of PSn...it is yours FOR EVER. But if you download Wipeout this month as their "deal", then you decide the service isn't for you, you LOSE that game. You can no longer play it. So what did you pay for?

Actually your wrong, there is not a limit on how many times you can download an item on psn, you have 5 different systems you can activate your game account and 1 time you can activate your video account, across those 5 systems you can download an item any amount of times. and you admit its messed up...but you dont think I should get angry for it? you mean I shouldn't get angry that I downloaded a free game which was fine, but then when I went to buy and did buy the addon, it turned out, I had to buy the full game cause they had engineered the free version not to work with the addon, and Because this was not MADE clear. did I forget to mention that? They never said this was the case, never said the addon wouldn't work..ect I had to call sony customer service for them to tell me this, they never mentioned it when i downloaded the game or any thing, but anyways thinking the install was wrong, and I deleted it, when i went to go back and download my free game I wasn't able too. So I have an add on that just sits there and I have to buy the full game now just to use it...

PSN+ is the greatest idea ever by Sony, I'm checking out the PS store and they have games like Wipeout HD, Destruction Derby and DLC like the Killzone DLC packs that have little +'s on them meaning if you get PSN+ you get that stuff for free :o !!!GAMESPOT PARAGRAPH PLEASE!!! It seems interesting the only problem is for people like mewho game on both the 360 and PS3, paying for PSN + will be overkill :( I'm already paying for XBL and simply don't have the money for PSN+. Do I wish I could stop paying? sometimes but all my friends own X360 and in order to play with them I have to pay for XBL. And I'm sure you can find a lot of people in asimilar situation BUT this is a good thing for people who only owna PS3 :)

Dude, it was said on the E3 stage that the regions that get LBP, it is theirs to keep even without subscription..

Those rental games and trials etc. all disappear if you unsubscribe - you get to keep avatars and themes, and discounted DLC. XBL - you don't need a gold account to carry on using your purchases made on the store.
