Quantum Break early impressions?

Not a horrible game but it not worth the 60 dollar retail price. This is a perfect example of what a redbox rental game is.

I am not surprised the user rating on metacritics is lower than the reviewer score. I feel like this is a 7/10 game if I ignore the value.

Pretty solid so far. Just finished Act II, and the gameplay so far has been pretty tight (barring some platforming portions).

It sucks that i'm waiting for the episode pack to download as my episodes keep going out of sync.

Quantum Break continues Remedy’s legacy of delivering a solid, story driven, action experience. THE GOOD!

• The most impressive thing about Quantum Break is the sound and music. How many sound awards a game can win is too ridiculous to find out, one thing is for sure Quantum Break deserves them all. The way each and every gun shot , voice or environment noise alters with time abilities is absolutely awesome and mindblowing.
• Quantum Break is a visual candy, it’s not the best looking game on the console but it’s highly impressive to see every single graphical effect on your screen.
• It feels like a true interactive movie with some great dialogues and storytelling. With some very believable characters, that blows LA Noire out of the water with facial expressions.
• Many meaningful collectibles that expand the story and background information for the many lovable characters.
• The shooting combat is very addictive with all the cool time “powerups” it feels and plays like a dream.
• A cast with Aiden Gillen, Shawn Ashmore, Lance Reddick and many more.. all giving an excellent ingame and liveshow performance. Bringing the game and story to the highest possible level.
• Many easter eggs to discover and love. (Hello Alan Wake!)

THE BAD!

• It’s a shame that you don’t have more content for the great shooting combat. (Hoping for some kind of Survival-like DLC)
• Some light pop up in the environment.

Conclusion!

Score: 94% | We had to wait and wait some more but finally everyone can experience Quantum Break. It has become another Remedy success and I hope it finds a way to many gamers hearts. It really deserves that.

I just got all of my codes yesterday as well, Alan Wake, American Nightmare, and PC. As much as enjoy the game, I won't be replaying QB anytime soon so I'll play the PC version when I'm board I guess.

I have to replay it now.....I was on Act 4 before XBL screwed me over. I will start on the PC version to see how bad it actually is.

Also got my Windows 10 and Alan Wake code now. Nice !

Played the PC version last night after some trouble downloading.....I can only play on medium settings at their supposed 1080P, there were a few moments where it would stutter but other than that it ran fine on my PC. It is safe to say that the Xbox version is the best version with my specs ( which are very decent, i7 4790 and 970 ) which is kind of sad to say. No quit button in the main menu, really? Lol

Still enjoying my second play through though :P

I got to see Quantum Break XB1 being played in front of me yesterday. This game looks like shit. I am officially calling it Quantum Blur. Blurry graphics, effects artifacting, and shit 30fps. The only things that look good are the HUD and menus. Very disappointing. Even The Blur: 1886 looks better.

I just got the game without knowing much about it in my new XBox One Quantum Break limited edition set with white console. (Xbox One newbie) I'm super impressed with the game, and the storyline really keeps you coming back for more. Gamespots review is ridiculous in my opinion. IGN gave it an 8, and that's much more on par for the total package I believe. I'd def give it a solid 8/10 all day. A great game and I'm anxious for a sequel.

Just beat the game. Like I said I LOVED the atmosphere(which I knew I would like since I love Remedy games), gameplay mechanics that felt very Max Paynish and also the graphics. The Time powers were very fun. But most importantly I enjoyed the story and especially the TV show part. Although I love this game there were somethings that I feel made this game kinda lackluster like it being very short, enemies kinda getting repetitive(they definitely weren't easy like many thought), I thought more could have been added to the time powers, but most of all the ending was lackluster... I do hope there is a sequel.

I give this game a 8.5/10. Good game but there is a lot to improve on...

I just finished Dark Souls 3 last night and i have Quantum Break laying around here waiting to be played, have not started yet. Just take a breathing break from gaming today/atm not sure if i start Quantum Break or Life is Strange next. I know and dont care that Quantum Break didnt live up to the hype, i will play it soon enough anyway.

Oh wow, this thread still lives lol. I'm on my 2nd play through for the game, it's great fun choosing the other junctions choices and seeing how it affects the show. Playing on hard also is more fun for the gameplay I'm finding.

Here is the thing about this game, if you didn't understand the story you wont enjoy the 2nd playthrougg as much. The game has a very specific take on the whole Time travel thing, and if you enjoy and understand the story, then a 2nd play through is a must, imo.
