Question to PC gamers.

This was brought up in a different post earlier today.

If console gamers actually cared about PC games and the graphics and how they are so much better than consoles, don't you think we would have gaming PC's?

I have the money to buy a gaming PC but i just don't care about gaming on a computer.

If PC's are extremley cheap and affordable like you guys claim wouldn't all console gamers have gaming PC's, or is that just a sign the console gamers don't give a crap about PC gaming?

My point is you will see a post about 360 vs PS3 or something similar but a bunch of PC fanboys have to throw in their two cents about crysis or some other technically superior game, when console gamers don't give a rats ass about it.

Which is why you have UT 3, Bioshock, C&C 3, Condemend, and Mass Effect? For not giving a crap about PC gaming you own an awful lot of titles that are better on a PC.

I play World of Warcraft and if I could play that on a console i would. I've been to gaming cafes and played counter strike and didn't enjoy myself. Me not liking PC gaming isnt the point of the thread though.

That's an interesting point, but isn't it applicable to every system? Why do 360 gamers bother telling others how great XBL is? Or PS3 users how great MGS4 is? Why doesn't everyone have a 360, or a PS3 if this is all true? People are entitled to not like these things, but we (you included) like to tell them anyway.

The PC is by far the most powerful

The PS3 is a great mix of power functionality and conveniance

The WII is a great party platofrm and good for a retro feel

Yes in can be applied to every console but not all the time. XBL being better than PSN is not set in stone yet, though its leaning towards XBL. MGS4 being the greatest game this generation is arguable. PC having superior graphics and being technically better than consoles is proven, so why keep bringing it up?

i do all my gaming on pc if i game...which is very rare these days since the games suck.

i also have 360 though but feels like i wasted my money the game sucks.

If i dont like Mario, Zelda or Metroid what is the point in me owning a Wii? Therefore having all 3 consoles would not be superior to have only the PS3 and 360.

No, it's really a matter of preference...

Having a Wii, even if you have no games for it, is superior to not having a Wii. All 3 consoles would still be better than just having 2.

The answer is a matter of cost and value. You find little value in a Wii and cannot justify its cost. Would you decline a Wii if it was given to you as a gift? I doubt it At a cost of $0, you find the Wii has enough value in owning it, even if you dont plan to purchase any titles for it.

The same could be said for any of the systems, PC, console, or handheld. Some people dont find enough value in owning one to purchase it, even if there are some aspects of it that are superior. Each system does provide something superior than the others.

Now having said that, it doesn't mean that the systems you dont find the value in purchasing stop existing from the world. Any console gamer would not decline a gaming PC as a gift. That means they do care and theres a vested level of interest. But they don't care enough to purchase it over another system. Thats different than saying console only gamers dont care at all about PC. Its obvious they do.
