console gamers paid for a worst version (even with its flaws the PC will still be the best version). Console gamers didnt complaint much over the bad framerate that plagued the game and still had lots of fun with it. PC gamers are getting a game they cryed so loudly over it and now are bashing it because its not 10000x better then the console version... that sounds like being a spoiled brat to me

People arent so much upset about the graphics or FPS but the fact that it does not work with KB+M controls (and even gives xbox gamepad prompts), thus if people want to play the game at all they have to buy a controller. It would be like if the console version didnt work with gamepad and only gave you directions for kinect.

Exactly, Pc gamers are accustomed to 1080p+ resolution, 60FPS, and proper KB/M controls. When those are not available of course there will be complaints; and that is what the console gamers need to understand.

How would they feel if a game launch that had bare bones gamepad controls that were wonky as hell and the only way to pla ythe game properly would be to go buy a PS Move Bundle. Some people are now going to have to spend additional money on a controller just to play this game. I already owend one for games like Batman, DMC4, Dirt, etc but I have read on other forums where people are going to buy a $30+ Xbox controller just so they can play the game because the controls are so bad.

it was never gonna work well on a KB/M no matter what. Thats one of the many reasons why they did not want to make a PC port.

this would be the equivalent of console gamers begging for a SC2 port then complaining they cant hotkey their units with a controller.

this really is a loss for PC gamers in general. Not because they got a **** port, everyone gets bad games. But becuse everyone gets screwed here. PC gamers were like we really really really want darksouls. They had to whole petition thing, and lucky them they got the game. But now it commes out that is the most bare bones port ever. PC gamers will likely have the attitude "Yeah I signed the petition for a decnet game not this crap and refuse to buy/pirate the game" Then publisher thinks they just didn't want the games because everyone knows Publishers are morons. And now because of this whole thing the PC gaming comunitty looks ungrateful and they are deemed untruthworthy. In reality there is enough game to go around, but unlike in every other industry where the consumers is alway right, in the gaming industry ITS ALLWAYS THE GAMERS FAULT.

You cried about it to the waiter/waitress long enough that the cook decided to make an exception and cook it for you. You then continue to complain and cry about what you got even thought the cook did YOU the favor by cooking something not on the menu. Yeah, I would say that's ungrateful and spoiled.

well its has KB/M support, so obvioiusly it can work. I thought the problem was it doesnt work well... and i cant in my mind think of any M/KB setup that gives you quick access to all of the necessary fuctions like a controller does.

and there isnt much of a reason to aim with the mouse, the game is all about locking onto targets.

I have to admit I have not played the London Olympics 2012 on PC yet :P

i have played some bad ports though, I own tons of pc games and the only two that pissed me off were Saints Row 2 and RE4. Out of over 400+ pc games those are the only two that really got under my skin.

Fastforward to now and these last two (Darksiders2 and Dark Souls) are added to that list. Its not that I am a graphcis whore or a snobby pc gamer, I just dont like crappy/lazy ports, period. I have been burned on those two games mentioned above in the past, havign been lazy ports. I am glad I got to try both Darksiders2 and Dark Souls at friends places before buying them myself.

In From's defense, they said from the very start that it would be a bare bones PC port, atleast they did not lie liek Darksiders2 devs did about what would be in teh PC version on day one.

I have Xbox 360 controller for my full featured DirectXbox**, so KB/M is not an issue for me.

**Windows 8 Pro RTM with Xbox Live.

Jesus some fanboys sure are rabid on this thread, one sniff that a PC Port is *average* (But still better on the PC) and they go nuts. Don't understand the ownage when PC gamers pay less, get more content, and plays and looks very slightly better, and that is with what a day ? Soon there will be a few mods to improve it further.

And somehow the pc version is still superior to its console counterparts. :cool:

The keyboard and mouse controls are horrible also (Literally unplayable for some).

When we played, there was 360 icons coming up even though there was no 360 controller hooked up (reason why he got me to bring it over in the first place). Says press A to pick things up, but if you are using keyboard and mouse you have no idea what that button is. The Menus suck and the list goes on.

Res patch puts my game into a quarter of the screen, even though the UI and menu's take up the remaining space, so I have to play it in the native res.
