What standard controller are you talking about? For this game, the standard controller is the xbox360 controller. The game was designed for console. They even mentioned it in the manual: http://cdn.steampowered.com/Manuals/211420/DARKSOULS_PC_MANUAL_ANZ.pdf Page 7: "Dark Souls: Prepare to Die Edition was created to play using the Xbox 360® controller." I'm well aware that kb/m control for this game is nearly unplayable, and they've done a bad job @ binding key & mouselook (hopefully a fix in the future). However, people should control the game as how it's meant to be controlled, just like no one plays DMC with kb/m.[QUOTE="rjdofu"][QUOTE="CaseyWegner"]
thinking that your standard controller should work properly with a game you buy (weren't gifted) is an example of entitlement?

i'm referring to the standard controller for the pc. it's not a 360 gamepad. does it say "created to play using the 360 controller" on the game box or just in the manual? steam has no mention of it.
Ok, I admit the thing in manual is easily missed out. If you referring to kb/m, then as I said, it's horrible. It just that I'm aware this type of game is best played with a controller, and I have my controller (as many serious PC gamers). I just use the controller all the time so I don't feel that much annoyed at the kb/m control; hence my overall experience with the game was good. Definitely different for other people.
