Now before you people take the pitchforks i think it is a mistake and that the game is 1080p 30FPS on xbox one, since the PS4 version is aiming for 1080p 60FPS.
But if by any chance this was true i can say safely that it was lack of trying and a developer been really lazy,no and i am not making fun of Blackace and the lemming crew,is impossible that a game is 1080p on PS4 aiming for 60FPS and be 720p 30FPS on xbox one other than for lack of trying.
ps.I am sure lemming will not read assume is a flame thread and fire blindly,is been discus in Neogaf too.
I think the resolution stuff is getting a little stale. Is this something we will have to talk about every time a multiplat releases? I understand Lems hit it hard last gen and now Cows are out for revenge. But we all know the PS4 has more horsepower and will look slightly better than the Xbox One. There is no debating that.
If I play this game it will be on PC. I am interested in seeing why the game requires 6 GB of VRAM for ultra settings.
@tormentos: Then why the **** are you even posting this Tomato? There's alot of rumors going around that it's 1080p 60fps on the ps4, that the xbone is 30fps, etc, etc.
There's no real way to confirm anything, specially since i myself haven't found a stream with 60fps enabled to atleast see the frame rate for either versions.
If you post the confirmed results and go cow mode on it, which you will, atleast we get accurate info.
I did read you post. I'm just pointing out the dumb part of even needing to post this. And yes, that level of difference is lazy from Monolith, though, the PS4 version will obviously be better. I expect 1080p to 900p myself. Again.

If i would not have posted it some other would have,i am been soft and even neutral on this one, since i already claim if is true it was lack of trying.
Now this should not concern you because you claim you are a HERMIT...lol
Which we all know you are not and which is very evident on this thread damage controlling something that need it non to begin with..hahahaa

I don't buy that one. The official system requirements are for a GTX 660, as stated on Steam,, game debate and the SQ site. The original ones were witha 670, but i can a 660 being more accurate, unless maybe it needs it to keep it at 60fps with the consoles fluctuating like crazy.
The IGN guy in that pic was using a 1GB gtx 560.570 (don't fully remember). I think there was something wrong with that screen. 6GB of video memory for those textures is overkill. In fact, with high needing "3GB", it would be only logical for ultra to need 4.

I don't see any damage controlling in his post. Why do people always resort into claiming "butt hurt" or "damage controlling" instead of actually having a discussion. Your lack of a credible source is what deadline was bringing to your attention. And I agree that there should not be a thread based on performance rumors. Lets have some factual evidence and then discuss/debate.

But what reason would you have to post it? Why not just call this the Shadow of Mordor res/fps rumor thread. To discuss what the PS4 or XB1 versions might be, like NeoGaf's massive meltdown right now.
Damage control? I'll be playing on PC my friend. I really want ot play it now to my surprise. The XB1 versions, if properly made, will be 180p lower. Unkonw frame rates.
My point is this being just one of many rumors, does not warrant a thread by itself. In fact, it might be locked, But you really just wanted to bash the xbone, am i right?

It was a 1.2GB 570. Looking at the warning on the screenshot it looks like that card can't even run medium textures.
Well thank goodness I'm getting the PS4 version, which coincidentally enjoys the distinction of being the world's most powerful video game system to have ever been created.

My problem with the pic is that something feels wrong.
Apparently, the high VRAM usage is for the textures only, since shadows, lighting, etc, are running on high for his old card. So in theory, the 660 can indeed max out everything else.
When it comes to textures, it points out "ultra HD" texture pack which referes to 4K. Downsampling this at 1080p probably jumps the VRAM requirements. If i'm not mistaken, 4K tends to use 4GB. So maybe If you decide to run ultra textures on 4K resolution, you'll be fine
But that leaves console settings. Normally, they run on around high settings, with an ultra/very high option existing for PC.
In this case, consoles would probably have to be running at medium textures. Maybe the it needs 3GB because it's downsampling 1440p to 1080p? So in order to play the high textures, one needs to move on to 1440p resolution. I'm not sure.
it's far fetched IMO, and i don't believe it myself. The lastest itteration of GPUs have already move away from 1080p, but requiring 3GB for a jump to high in itself seems is quite large.
I can only imagine this is for future proofed textures.

Read the fu**ing thread before you say stupid things, either if you the source is ultra reliable as DF it would still be the same, and my opinion would still be the same.
He has no argument what so ever, and he is just damage controlling and asking why i make a the thread i made the thread because i chose to,just like you or him can,and that is from a review copy those are not sent to every one dude but reviewers.
But we all know your hypocrite act of picking fights and argument juts with cow so your opinion on this is as meaningless as hes.
Oh there are far worse thread here without any links or anything at least mine has one,and i already expressed my view which is not even bad to begin with, this thread prove that you people are more fixated with who make the thread than with the content on it or the expressions..Which is sad,now go pick on a lemming for a change there are tons here 10 times worse than me.
Damn. I hope it's false. No game should be 720p30 this gen.
If true, then what an embarrassment.
Any info on the PS4 version?
I think you'd better get use to it. As this gen progresses it's gonna get harder and harder to keep up with PCs and eventually they might have to start making a lot of stuff 720p/30. These consoles were weak the day they launched (Especially X1), in 3-4 years they're gonna be extremely so.

Did you ask this lemming why he make this stupid troll thread.?
Did you.?
Did the hypocrite @GoldenElementXL jumped on him.?
This is what make both of you lemmings both you are and both are complete hypocrites who flame one side why pretending to be things your not, this thread if it was make by any other cow like damien or grenade launcher would have been a tons of fun making and epic laughs toward the xbox one and lemmings to.
At least i was neutral on this one and call it like i see it which you with your hypocrites view can't..

Hmm, by that way of thinking, I'd have thought they might keep the frame rate and drop the resolution. Parity in frame rate sounds more important to me, lets say I am right, that would mean they're still the same game but one version is lower res. If the frame rate changes, does that not mean the gameplay would feel different?
@deadline-zero0: Dude, let it go. He is right and he's not bashing the x1. Covert bashing isn't his style
Yep it would have been epic Balckace as first quoted name...hahaha
But i know the graphics gap is not that big,so either the PS4 version is 900p and the xbox one 720p,or the xbox one is 900p and the PS4 1080p if running at same frame,is not then both 1080p with the PS4 having faster frames.

SOM is an open games with tons of enemies on screen ultra quality textures mean ultra quality textures for everything so that would explain the high memory usage the same happen with Skyrim,7850 1GB were hit performance wise vs the 2GB models of the same card, when in other games like Crysis 3 there was no difference.

Yeah but some developer like to leave the frames open on PS4,like tomb raider and sniper elite, alto for this particular game 1080p 30FPS would have been ok and inject the extra power in visuals.

"Ultra HD" doesn't mean "4k", it just means "ultra high definition". Textures doesn't tie to a game's rendering resolution.
Damn. I hope it's false. No game should be 720p30 this gen.

Any info on the PS4 version?
A 720p 30fps game would technically have better graphics than a 1080P 60 FPS game. Maybe they just opted for better graphics instead of resolution or framerate? I mean, most lemmings can't tell the difference between 720p and 1080p...

The part of your post that I bolded indicates that you didn't read/comprehend my post. Did I EVER debate your opinion?
1. I did read the thread. I have no problems with your post other than it's based on a rumor. What if this information is false? That would make you look bad. We all know that if there is a visual difference between multiplats, it will be in the favor of the PS4.
2. Once again there was nothing in his post I quoted that would classify as "damage controlling" If anything your response to criticism in this thread is "damage controlling" No one has debated your opinion, just the source.
3. Yes there are trolls here on all sides that are quite annoying. But you aren't a troll. You actually believe everything you say. That's why I respond to your posts/threads more than most trolls. There is a chance at some actual discussion instead of "youre jelly. youre butthurt" etc. But why do you use this "other people do it so why can't I" defense? Don't you want to be better than them?
They only like to talk about resolution when their favorite console is running a game better than the competition.
Console vs Console - "LOL, PS4 is 1080p and Xbox One is only 900p! Stupid Xbox LMFAO, PS4 OWNZZZZ, the graphics are so much better on PS4, mah gddr5!"
Console vs Console part 2 - "LOL, PS4 gets 60 fps and Xbox One is only getting 45! LOLOLOLOL, stupid Xbots!"
Same console gamer vs PC running same port at 1080p-1440p and 60-144fps with all kinds of additional lighting and post processing effects, higher resolution textures, higher quality shadows, more & better looking antialiasing - "Stupid graphics whore PC gamers, graphics don't count, its the gameplay that matters! Hmph! Virgins! That game sucks anyway, you can have it...good luck playing TLOU on your $10,000 PC! LMFAO!"
Yep always that is how all the xbox one specs, and anti consumer crap started as rumors.
Well if it turns out to be true, I will just play the PS4 or PC version lol
Exactly! That's the same as every multiplat. I'm not sure why we need a thread every time a multiplats resolution and framerate information comes out. And we sure as hell don't need a new thread every time a RUMORabout framerate and resolution hits social media.
It's actually about dev laziness, as in, it's absurd that one console would get 1080p 60fps and the other 720p 30fps. Even 1080p 30fps or 720p 60fps would be unacceptable tbh. The PS4 has superior hardware, but it doesn't have that much superior hardware.
But to be honest I wouldn't be surprised judging by the recommended PC specs for this game. It seems badly optimized to hell and back.

@tormentosIf this would be 720p it's not necessarily true for a lack of trying, they could be aiming for 60 FPS instead of 30. But as you said it could be that as well.
