Rumour: Halo 3 Pre-Orders Tops 4 Million!!!!!!!!

I still haven't pre-ordered. I think it's because I'm not sure what state I'll be living in around that time.

All I know is Microsoft better make sure they have enough units available. Halo 3 needs to bring down Xbox Live with all the gamers on 8)

I have it somewhere at my mother's house too.  don't remember actually playing the game; I just remember seeing the box in the basement.  I do remember other games, though.  Big Bird's Egg Hunt, Conflict, Space Invaders and all the other biggies.

           I was one of a few who kept gaming even though most who had started getting into gaming jumped the heck out after the greed was rampent. ** cough ** Wii dont want this to happen again ;)

Halo will be great, but anyone thinking a single game will not only edge out the competitions consoles, but dominate it, is delusional.

                I would be the last to argue the laws of the marketplace - if sheeple will pay $1000.00 for a Wii and still line up; I say make it $1100.00 than if I'm a stockholder but there is no arguing if said company is already making bundles on the hardware side = less motivation to recoup losses ( MS & Sony )  on the software side. Please dont argue this - it would be foolish ;)

                The fallout happens when the same sheeple end up with E.T. the game and feel very cheated as has been the case.

Games I own which IMO are 'real' games : Dead Rising, Crackdown, Oblivion, Saint's Row, Perfect Dark, CoD 2, GRAW, Forza 2, PGR 3, GTA IV, Viva Pinata, Table Tennis, FNR 3, C&C 3. Not to mention Alien Hominid HD, Worms HD, Lumines Live, Cloning Clyde, Catan, Wik ... right now what were you saying about Gears and Halo?

I wouldn't be surprised. My local GS has stopped taking preorders mainly because they already have 300 and are afraid they may not be able to even meet the demand and this is for a freaking game! Luckly I'm in the top 10 as far as who preordered first so I'm guaranteed a copy.

When I bought Crackdown, the employee at Gamestop told me that Halo 3 preorders are filled.  I hadn't even asked :lol:

I got the feeling that the employee got asked about Halo 3 from every lemming who bought a 360 game :lol:

Buy the way, I made a thread saying SSBB may sell as much as Halo 3.  I'm already admitting ownage for even considering this, if the 4 million preorder Halo 3 rumor is true.   Halo 3 has wayyyyyyyy  more preorders already than GTAIV for PS3 and Xbox 360 combined according to the article. 

Halo is not a good enough franchise to deserve this status...

Well there isn't a next gen Halo game on the system so why would Halo lovers already own the system?

Answer - the majority are waiting for the game to come out and much like how Halo 2 sold massive amounts of XBOXs, you would be a fool to think that Halo 3 won't sell massive amounts of XBOX360s. Of course Halo 3 won't be by itself this year. Lets not forget Mass Effect, GTA IV, Assassin's Creed, Lost Odyssey, etc coming out for the system later in the year. I would be shocked if the 360 doesn't sell 4 to 5 million units WW in the last 4 or 5 months of the year.

Actually no, from those that want only Halo 3 most of all in 360, only a fraction will have bought a 360, waiting until the game and a possible new console version and price reduction

So, those are just 1.000.000 people WITH 360 in those 4 million pre-orders, and 3 million without, that is 100% certain

I once said that one game doesn't obliterate a rival console...I may be wrong now.  So, Wii surpasses 360 sales in September or so, and then Halo 3 comes out and catches up to Wii in sales again.  This looks highly probable now....

I believe that was the only quarter the XBOX outsold the PS2 for the entire generation in America so people saying that Halo 3 won't matter in sales are complete idiots IMO.
