@Pedro: First of all I never used the words Politically correct. I did use the words politically incorrect in my last post, context is very important.
Secondly, I think turning down political incorectness in games is political.
If I play a game about World War 2 I want there to be nazis and communists, what's so wrong with having those?

I asked a very simple question about your modern and contemporary characters being politically correct as you have stated above. And I also wanted to know what is a modern and contemporary character?
Your last sentence implies that the characters are out of sync with the theme of the game. I haven't played it, nor do I know if this is true or not. Is the game of one time period and the characters are of another?
