Sorry, I'm not trying to get in the middle of the whatever you and Pedro have going on, but I do have to question this part. They made a really big deal about character customization in the marketing for SR3, and poked fun at how many other games at the time featured white dudes with shaved heads for the protagonist. Not to mention the supporting cast being largely brown people (Keith David is in the game as himself). This went on to be the bestselling game in the franchise. As far as I can tell, SR4's total sales numbers were never released, but it did move a million in it's first week.

I'm not saying many folks want to play a game with geeky Zoomers as the protagonists, but it's a stretch to say "inclusion" is the thing that will kill this game.

You kinda just proved my point. Ghost of Tsushima a new IP on a single platform sold over 3 million in a week and nearly 10 million in 2 years. Although we don't know individual sales numbers of SR4( because they never released them). That's generally not a good sign. The entire series up in to SR4 sold 13 million copies combined. God of War 2018 on a single platform sold 19.5 million . The reality is 1 million copies in a week isn't enough anymore. Not with the budgets of these games.

This also isn't 2012 anymore where every character was a bald white guy.( mostly because of the popularity of military shooters). So that trope is severely outdated. I'm not saying the game will flop because it doesn't have all white people, that's not my argument. But every character was meticulously made to hit a diversity quota. The getaway driver looks like she would be a barrrista at Starbucks. The black dude looks like he reviews games for ign. The characters look like self inserts from the dev team. It has no subtlety and a " look what we did" aura about it. People pick up on this .

Learn to read entire articles, understand surrounding context, phrasing and more. People are constantly poking fun of you when you cite sources that refute your own premise. When you have basically everyone calling you out on your lousy reading comprehension and critical thinking skills on both the SW and PG board, maybe, just maybe, the issue is with YOU.

And for the record THQ got bankrupt because of the uDraw tablet flopping hard.

While the zoomer cast most likely have issues. They are not the reason this game is doing badly. There are other, much deeper issues with the game. Read the reviews, the reviews do not concern themselves much with the zoomer cast, they concern themselves with the game itself.

I didn't say the Zoomer cast was the " Only" reason. I do feel like it was a major reason though based off the like to dislike ratio of the initial trailer.
