Why did it get that score and the Editor's Choice award? Try improved AI that attacks from the sea and uses terrain to its advantage, an online clan system with excellent matchmaking that encourages teamworks between allies, and the artful realisation of the Sengoku period. We say that "Shogun 2 is the Total War series back on form," and that it "boasts the most outrageous hats in martial history".

This game is based on Japanese history and will make MASSIVE damage once released in March.

Gamespot are weird at the moment, so I'll play it safe.

Gamespot likes to give Total War 8.5, but who knows, this one may break the tradition.

New AI, improved gameplay mechanics, next-gen graphics and finally an interesting and persistent multiplayer mode. I don't see it scoring less than 9.0. ;)

This will probably be my most played game of 2011.

I couldn't care less what reviews say these days. They are as bad as a Halo fanboy reviewing a new Halo game.

This will be my first Total War game, I've wanted to get the first Shogun one but I would not have been able to run it well at the time, I think a demo or something proved me right, now I have a better comp. :P 110million

Well despite what GS gives it it'll be AAA for me. Total war series is the best RTS series of all time!

Yeah AA or AAA seem like good choices depending on the state of the game on release. If it doesn't have any serious bugs, I can see it getting AAAE easily. But what the hell, I'll go out on a limb here and proclaim that Shogun: Total War will score an AAAAE!

Total War is one of hte most original and epic series ever. There is NOTHING like it on consoles.

I have owned every single Total War game over the years and they are not the same thing over and over, they are each very unique games in there own right. One of best series ever imo, although nto for everyone just like ARMA2.. as they can have a hard learning curve for the casual gamers.
